Nice, friendly place to visit. We were made to feel at home. We noticed the staff knew their customers on first names. It's dog friendly and has a lovely atmosphere. The food was great and reasonably priced.

Review for Sunday Lunch - first time there and won’t be going back.

We were overcharged for our meal (advertised price on the menu was cheaper than the one we paid) - unfortunately we only noticed after we paid. We spoke to the waiter about it, showed him the menu and he acknowledged that the price indeed is wrong. He went to speak to the manager and came back 15 minutes later to tell us that the menu price indeed is wrong and they will change the menus from now on. However they won’t be able to refund or do anything else to rectify the mistake. This was a very poorly handled situation on their behalf that left a bitter taste to our visit.

Overall food quality:
Starters: good
Main: average - the meat portion was small, we had only two undercooked tiny potatoes, veggies were not enough for four people and the lamb was dry and chewy
Dessert: lovely

Party of over twenty, had a room to ourselves,and although the Lairds House was very busy, we were treated like royalty. Everyone in the party enjoyed their meal and comented on the quality of the service. Definitely one of the best eateries in the area. 10/10

Just returned from a one night stay, this hotel is so lovely, the staff were all really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We ate the evening we arrived just prior to the kitchen closing and the food was so tasty and delicious, breakfast the next morning was of the same standard, plenty of food and again really tasty, can not find any faults at all. The room which was a standard double was clean and had everything you need with a very comfy bed. I was amazed for the price we paid. Would love to go back and try one of the suits.

The decor is STUNNING. Rooms are fab - obsessed with the free standing bath. The breakfast was the nicest breakfast I have had (& I have had a lot of breakfasts out!!) everything cooked perfectly including the poached eggs! The bar is so cosy. Staff are so friendly & can’t do enough for you. Definitely will be back.

A fab spot in Bedlington! Proper good home cooked food with good portions and loads of flavour! One of the best Sunday lunches I've had in the north east and its reasonably priced as well, also dog friendly in the snug. The interior is lush and quirky. Burger night was also fab , I'll try pie night next

Really disappointed with the meal. When asked while we were having our meal if we were happy, I told the member of staff that the fish and chips hadn't been sufficiently drained of grease. He said would let kitchen staff know.

Asked at the end of the meal if we had enjoyed the meal, I pointed out that I'd had to take the batter off the fish, the chips were wallowing in grease and the mushy peas were dry. Again, he said he would report my concerns to kitchen staff.

I had expected someone would come and discuss the issues, but no-one came.

The Laird's House has a good reputation, but I'm afraid, after this meal, I'll be reluctant to go again.

Stayed 2 nights, attending our niece's wedding. Absolutely amazing. Couldn't fault anything. Hospitality, Food, Accommodation, first class +
The wedding was very personal with every detail perfect.
Being Bedlington born and Bred, now living in Yorkshire, this was very much
'Coming home'. A fantastic 2 day stay.
Very highly recommended. Thank you to all the team at Lairds House.
