Opened a can of ktc butter with a best before of 2027 and the beans smelt horrible, there was a gooey nasty jelly at tbe bottom of the tinand majority of the beans were black. I have emailed ktc I'm hoping to get a reply as this is not fit for purpose

I purchased ktc pure mustard oil which was not pure at all.
So this oil has wired kind smell and the colour of the oil as white as canola oil. Not recommended at all

My friend and I bought their chana Dal & red split lentils from Sainsbury's. The red split peas have a weird waxy gloss/sheen to them that other brands (such as Sainsbury's own brand) do not, and when boiled, they have a odd grainy texture and do not get mushy at all (we've cooked them the same way we've cooked other brands of red split lentils - we boil them in plain water until they are *supposed* to softened).

The chana Dal never gets soft either it tastes like bullets in your mouth.

I'm wondering if they are selling false produce or adulterated/subpar/old produce because all the other brands we've used have never had this problem.

Genuinely a waste of money & products, I don't think we'll be able to get our refunds back either since we don't tend to keep receipts. All I can say is that don't buy their pulses at all please.

Just contacted customer service having opened a packet of chana daal full of maggots and flies to be told I needed to have the bar code along with the date photograph sent to them- I have a picture of their logo packaged inside flies etc would have thought that enough just wanted the things off my kitchen surface was disgusting I freaked!! My advice now to anyone don’t buy KTC the date was 2024 so plenty of breading time what a thought!!Going to put this on Amazon now to warn people and Sainsburys. stock it !

It's probably the only job I hate going to...iso tanker driver can wait a good hour to get in then there is no staff on weighbridge as they both decide to wonder off on there own directions (was parked on weighbridge 40 minutes) and that was waiting to leave site after they watched me disconnect....also you would think as its a food company they would have a bit of cleanness but NO storage tanks are raised about 3ft of the ground and atleast 2ft of that is flooded with oil and stagnant water make me feel sick every time I get that job....and if you have ever seen the movie trainspotting just picture the toilet facilities from that film 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Terrible place to tip .AVOID!!!! Explained to a staff member it's the job of the CUSTOMER to remove container seals. If a driver injured while using their equipment- which as a health and safety issue you DO need to be trained - NO-ONE can legally move the truck other than the driver. And we also don't get accused of tampering with the contents or paperwork. AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!!!

The site has good secure parking but after that it gets worse. There are lots of Keypads to touch to get in anywhere, which in a pandemic is not ideal. I didn't see any handwash basins just several sanitisers. The premises has a 60 camera CCTV and I didn't see any signs about this, one camera was in the corner of the small office staring directly in my face. The CCTV screens are in front of the director's. I was also told by long standing employees they suspect audio is being recorded. The office had no Windows and 5 people with no ventilation. I was surprised that all the BRC work was crammed into August as holidays were banned then. Therefore it wasn't an ongoing audit ready system. I saw a BRC HACCP CCP document being completed on a Friday in advance for a Saturday with results recorded, which is not in compliance with their own BRC accreditation standards. Apparently this practice is approved by the manager. So unless you want a manager breathing down your neck, director's watching you on CCTV and unethical practices filling in forms with results in advance I don't recommend working here.
