Very cute and quaint city farm that has managed to tetris itself around some railway tracks. Perfect for a little outing. Free admission but PLEASE DONATE !
Finally got to meet Shirley and the other cute animals at the farm. From one city farm worker to another they're doing great but all the support is greatly appreciated if you are able!

Always a great place to bring the little one. It's clear they are putting a lot of investment into it with new areas towards the back being worked on, and the goats are just about to get a new home. Doesn't take long to go round but good to keep kids entertained for an hour.

the staff were very cheery and welcoming. the animals here are poorly socialised & don't appreciate pets, except the cat , there are other farms if you're looking for a cheeky cuddle but, apart from the donkeys that are affected by flies, the animals seemed pretty satisfied & peaceful. it was clean around the site too, and the emphasis for animal safety through personal safety practices is highly commendable. the rough paths can be dangerous if you're not careful but the steep edges are clearly sectioned off. it appears small compared to other city farms , and i can argue that certain enclosures are far too small & don't meet the needs of the animals they house, such as the pigs and goats. however, i hope this is acknowledged without my wariness. overall, incredibly quiet, without the occasional train passing through, so a little city break for ten minutes or so.

It really saddens me to give me this rating, but I felt really disappointed in this farm. Apart from the sheep and the frogs, the animals have very little space and the farm is between two train tracks. The donkeys, that supposedly have a very sensitive audition according to one of the signs of the place, stay literally by the side of a track (you can see it in one of the pictures). I imagine that the volunteers do all they can to help the animals, and I believe that there must be more funding and investment to care appropriately for the animals, but they need urgently to move the place away from the tracks and to give more space for the animals.

It was very small, but I would still recommend going if you're in the area. You can't feed the animals or touch them and the horses aren't on site (construction of their area), but overall it was lovely for a quick outing. It was a bit confusing at first because it looks closed and I don't remember seeing any staff. You just sort of walk in the unlocked door and look around on your own. You just have to wash your hands before entering and can sign a visitor book.

A relatively small but lovely farm, clearly ran with a lot of love. The animals look happy and well cared for (enjoyed the little bios on each) and lots of events for kids advertised.

Feels like this place has been here forever. In fact it's actually the 1st City Farm of it's ilk in the UK and opened as a charity way back in 1972. It is still a charity. And does wellbeing events for all ages.
Great wee urban farm for children who might not be able to get close up and personal with livestock other than by TV or laptop. I think it's important children know where their meat and dairy products come from...!
Entrance is free. Donations and volunteers are always welcomed.
Has some awesome gothic looking Indonesian black chickens and a super friendly same breed black cockerel aptly named Darth Vador 🖤
Can be viewed from your train seat on the Thameslink.
In close proximity to Kentish Town Thameslink Overground Station. And Belsize Park Northern Line Underground Station.
