It's been with us forever and there's no surprise at it's popularity. I remember my mother used to shop there in the 60s but until recently I'd forgotten the quality products it offers. The sausage rolls are superb but the vanilla slices are out of this world. There is a great selection of savouries and cakes as well as a butchery counter. The sandwich are the best value in Hull at only £2 50 the fillings are more than generous and super quality

Scones are amazing, this is the only reason we visit, to buy a tonne load of scones, Cherry and sultana scones are the best in Hull.
Please don't ever change your recipe or stop making them.

This place has ruined me with the best pork pies ever. After trying the pies from here I can't go back to your standard pork pie. Mass produced pork pies now seem bland and offensive to my taste buds and need a load of sauce to be consumed. This is terribly disappointing during holidays away when a nice pork pie for lunch used to be a simple matter of just buying one the right size, now I have to hunt around for an alternative to a pork pie that a fussy eater like me will find tasty. Must remember to buy a couple of large ones before we go away for the summer.

Inexpensive baked goods and treats that taste really good! We love stopping by here as everything we've tried so far have been fresh and excellent. We always try something new when we come in, and so far we haven't been disappointed.

You will need all your willpower to avoid over-buying - everything looks so irresistibly tempting! The huge soft bap (or 'sandwich' as they called it) I bought for the train home, filled with slices of ham carved off the bone and every type of salad ingredient (and lots of mustard, of course) lasted me practically to Doncaster!

I viseted today for first time as I can't find pork pies anywhere in hull. I bought pork pie, scotch egg, quiche, coleslaw and apple pie. The only decent thing was the apple pie the rest going to the dog.
