Highly recommended to me by.my neighbour and finally got round to calling. What can I say, John is a butcher of the old school - knowledgeable and friendly, it was lovely to chat with him and I felt as if we'd known each other years. A very good selection of meats - with provenance detailed up on the wall. I picked up a leg of hoggett, some lamb chops and sausages.- hoggett is for a later date but the chops and sausages were first class. Definitely heading.back - sod the supermarket, this is the real deal.

Fantastic food. The steaks, burgers, sausages and bacon are so tasty. And John is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Barbecue season is starting now so get down there to get all your meat requirements, I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

I got some bacon yesterday and it was one of the tastiest I’ve ever experienced , I have visited this Butchers many times and as always John is a thorough Gentleman . Worth five stars every time …Alo

Very rude staff favouring locals over customers. One local looking in window, them claims he was in a queue after 5 mins. Staff fail nothing whole time until I state I should be first served. Customer uses expletives in the presence of my young daughter (7) but when I demand they say something I'm told to calm down and wait to be served. CAVEAT EXEMPTOR!

GREAT MEAT!!!!A bit more expensive than lical supermarkets but one can't buy a Rolls Royce on Skoda money. Service exceptional with tasty tender meat.
