Live just a 5 minute walk from Lawsons. As the butcher it’s absolutely fantastic. The deli counter is phenomenal. Brilliant cakes and hot food. Busy all the time speaks volumes.

The food is great, it’s just a shame that the staff are really rude. I stood in a queue at the deli counter & watched the woman snap at every other person as they placed their orders. One person asked if one of the bakery items was a mars slice to which she replied “I assume so since it has a bit of mars on top”. She also snapped at a man whose english wasn’t very good for not knowing what a chocolate eclair was. A first & last visit - would not recommend.

Great quality stuff, the individual steak pies are totally brilliant every time.
The steak is just tender and tasty, gravy is perfect, £3.10 is a decent price, love them.
The cakes are brilliant too.

Popped in on Saturday and asked if they could do me a 1kg Bone in Ribeye/Cote De Beouf/Cowboy Steak. Received a beautiful cut.

I reverse seared this at 120c for about 40 mins until 46c internal, rested for 10 mins then seared and basted in butter, garlic and thyme.

Thanks for all your help and will be back for more cuts for my BBQ this summer.

After a recommendation from the dealership across the road we thought we’d give this place a go. We were encouraged to get the steak baguette so that’s what I got. The wife got morning roll with a tattie scone, fried egg and sausage. As you’d expect you can customise your roll how you like. My baguette was good. Nothing too fancy and maybe didn’t look the most appealing but it was tasty. My wife couldn’t fault her roll and she throughly enjoyed it. I was tempted by the pigs in blankets but they were 50p for 1!! Even the guy serving us said they were expensive. We also got a few sweet treats. A yum yum and a crispy cake. Both of which were ok. We also got a couple Christmas chocolate balls which were lovely. Service was pretty good and price was excellent, especially for the steak baguette.
The shop appears to have a good butchery and sells a variety of homemade ready made meals, vegetables, condiments and other kitchen products. If I was local I’d be regular.

Probably the slowest service experience - Ever. Horrendously slow service. Maybe ok meat, but for me it is not really worth queuing like cattle. Plenty other Butchers.
