Thank you to Ananda, who took a very quick time out from his work to show me the temple! A great blessings. I sadly missed the evening dinner due to other arrangements. Hare Krishna!

A place full of exuberance, energy and enthusiasm.

I have been here for a weekend retreat, and the vibe this place has is amazing. I would name it as the perfect location for a nature lover.

During the retreat, we had ecstatic chanting, lectures with profound knowledge of spirituality, and ultra-delicious food. Words fall short to describe the experience. I am thankful to the universe, and all the organisers for having me here.

Lastly, the yoga sessions I delivered to the devotees here was filled with positive energy, inquisitiveness and fun. I would absolutely love to deliver more.

Enjoy the peace and quiet here as you will get to spend a lot of time in the midst of nature meditating. It was a spiritual retreat with friends and we got to know some lovely people who look after the place. We were very inspired and enjoyed volunteering in the garden. The food was nourishing and the accommodation was very clean. All thanks to Pip as we got to spend time with the Alpacas and take them for a walk! I can't wait to visit again.

We were treated to delicious and nourishing meals. What a joy it was to see the renewable energy systems and sustainable living here. I also got to pet the alpacas! All in all it was a peaceful and refreshing time here and I can't wait to visit again.

I just finished a month of volunteering at the Krishna Eco Farm and I must say, what a fantastic and life changing experience it was!

The farm is beautiful with an abundance of fruits and vegetables being grown, so there is plenty to do (depending on the time of year) but be prepared to get stuck into some weeding from time to time. Which in all honesty, I actually enjoyed sometimes! It was a really nice environment to work in. It felt casual and at our own pace, we would be allocated tasks and left to complete them. You always felt a real sense of achievement when you had completed a task. Me and the volunteers felt very well looked after by our team leader Isana, who organised everything around the farm. He is a busy man but he will aim to teach you a thing or two, but don't expect intense training. You will find you will teach yourself most of it which is still nice. I would say after a month of being at the farm I definitely know a lot more about gardening than I did before I came.

There are various tasks you get allocated throughout the week, which all get disrupted very fairly. Though it states you have one day off a week. You technically have two as Sundays are very chill because that is when they host their Sunday program. There are lots of great activities you can get involved with after your morning tasks that day. You can join in the alpaca walk (yes they have two alpacas on the farm, which you get to look after!!) yoga, the Sunday feast followed by Kirtan and a talk. This is a great way to meet some of the locals too, as lots of people from around the area and Glasgow join in for the day.

If you have never heard of Krishna consciousness before, then don't worry. Everyone here is very open to receiving and answering any questions you have - I asked a lot myself! I found everyone to be very warm hearted and caring, you can get a real sense of their love to the practice of Krishna Consciousness. Creating a really beautiful and enlightening energy around the whole place. If you are concerned that they are going to try and "convert", let that fear go as this does not happen! Everything that goes on around Krishna Consciousness is open for you to join in at your own will. I personally got involved with as much as I could and found I had some incredible experience, especially with some of the Kirtans!!

The morning practice is a great way to start the day, who wouldn't want to start their morning singing and dancing! The morning kirtan is then followed by a lesson which I found very inspiring and enlightening.

The food is so delicious and I actually miss eating it! They were very nice to cater for my dietary requirements which I was very grateful for. You ate together in the hall for all three meals which was always nice as it made it feel like a community.

The Women's ashram is a decent size, It was very clean and comfortable. With everything you needed in a living space. Everyone who lived there would take it in turns to clean and tidy which was a nice system as it kept the place clean. I found I slept very well as all the volunteers I stayed with were very respectable with noise.

Coming to the Krishna Eco Farm was such an eye opening experience that taught me a lot about myself. I got to meet so many wonderful people and make some new and amazing friends. I learnt lots about gardening and got to spend lots of time out in nature which was really grounding for me. However I was fortunate to have incredible weather when I was there as Scottish weather can be unpredictable. I also came to the farm with an open mind about Krishna Consciousness and can honestly say I feel more connected to God/Krishna/Higher force/Universe whatever you want to call it, than I did before I came. Which to me is extremely powerful and has enlightened me in so many ways and for that I am so very grateful for my time at the farm and for everyone there. I will be sure to come visit again in the future. Hare Krishna!

Lovely, warm welcoming place with wonderful friendly people and superb food!

I went back to my countryside roots for a day and worked an appetite by gardening for a few hours. I got to feel competent and in touch with the earth for a short time, while helping out some people who had provided me transport from Glasgow, a yoga session and a delicious unlimited lunch all free of charge. I even got to take back some of that superb food back with me!

Definitely worth a visit for anyone wanting to experience something new and great, and work outside with your hands for once.
