This morning Ian was trimming the hedges of the property opposite my parents house in a small close. The van was parked partly on the pavement. I pulled onto the drive to pick my mum up but on reversing I could not use the road as it was blocked by the van. Instead I reversed directly opposite onto the drive of the household in which I an and his son were working. Unbeknownst to me there was a piece of hedge trimming equipment lying across the end of the drive. My reversing sensor did not pick this up. As I reversed my car was alongside Ian's son he not notice us as he was facing away and wearing ear defenders. As I pulled away I was met by angry shouts at which point I was alerted to the fact that my tyres had rolled over a piece of equipment.
I have paid the £294 cost for repairs but would ask for anyone employing this service to ensure that neighbours are not inconvenienced and left severely out of pocket by doing simply what they have done day after day.
I have recommended that they might leave ear defenders off until machinery is inaction and put cones around expensive equipment close to public thoroughfares.

Ian cut back some trees for us some 3 weeks ago. He did a very good job. At the same time he measured for fencing down one side of our garden. Today he completed the fencing and we are absolutely delighted with the results. We would recommend Ian and would not hesitate in using him again.
