Hope Valley Ice Cream is a hidden gem in the Peak District! It's not just about the ice cream (although that's amazing!), the whole experience is fantastic.

Fresh, Homemade Ice Cream: Made with milk from their own cows right on the farm, you can't beat the taste of Hope Valley's ice cream. It's creamy, flavorful, and unlike anything you'll get at a store.

A Working Farm Experience: The ice cream parlor is located at Thorpe Farm, a beautiful family-run farm. You can see the happy cows, playful calves, and other farm animals while you enjoy your ice cream.

Relaxing Atmosphere: The farm has a lovely rustic charm, with colorful flowers and stunning views of the Hope Valley. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a sweet treat after a hike or a day of exploring the Peak District.

This is a charming spot to enjoy a coffee and some ice cream, with lovely views and a peaceful atmosphere right in the heart of a working farm. The staff are absolutely delightful and contribute to the warm, welcoming experience.

That said, the ice cream does lack flavour and, unfortunately, is the lowest quality I’ve tried compared to other local farms like Bluebells or Our Cow Molly. As someone who makes ice cream at home, I know how easy it is to achieve a more flavourful result, so it’s surprising that it falls short. However, given that it supports a local dairy farm, I’m happy to overlook this and would still return for the overall experience.

Staff are extremely friendly and make the whole experience even more enjoyable when with the kids. Generous portions too. We have been coming for a few years now and highly recommend.

Lovely place to stop for a coffee and ice cream. They do sell proper milk from the cows on the field, which is rare these days.

You can walk around on the grounds to see animals, which is lovely for the kids and adults.

I really enjoyed petting donkeys and cows.

Would definitely recommend taking kids there to see the animals and learn about farms and where milk comes from...

Great ice cream parlour located in a working farmyard. The ice cream is delicious... tried both Mango and Coconut over a couple of visits. The staff are very friendly and the views down the Hope Valley are spectacular! There are some calves, pigs and donkeys that you can pet. The star though was the lad in the milking shed who saw us watching the cows being milked so took time to tell us all about the process, and brought out some feed for the calves... He was a real credit to the farm!

Wow , this was the best ice cream I have ever had . So much so that I had to get another straight after my 1st one. They are made on the farm and are delicious. Staff are so friendly and you can go see some farm animals too. Great stop after our walk. 10/10

Very nice ice cream! The cows were an added bonus for me as I adore them! The calves were so beautiful too. Great place for a visit. Donkeys and pigs too!
