Injuries, neglect, and terrible attitude from the manager, head teacher and baby room supervisor.
We had such a terrible experience that we stopped taking our child despite having paid for another trimester in advance.
We knew it was not the right place since induction period but the head teacher refused to refund us the money despite the admin saying that they would if during the induction if we would decide is not a good place for us.
The manager dismissed from minute 1 the 2 things my son needed support with and she refused to hear it. Then the baby room supervisor apologised for the manager’s behaviour but the head teacher did not care at all. She never replied to any email.
They don’t allow babies to change teacher if the bond with one that was not assigned.
The room supervisor who was the key teacher assigned for our child asked me to pay a nanny the first month despite paying for full time the nursery to make the “induction easier” referring truly to her not having to care for one more baby.
The room supervisor caught my child’s thumb and nail in the gate’s frame as she was closing the gate knowing he was there and seeing him. It took 3 months for the finger and nail to heal and she didn’t even call us. She wrote in the app’s chat about it and didn’t take responsibility saying it was just an accident. When I wanted to call and clarify how it happened no one answered the phone.
There were more injuries, this was the worse one.
The teachers don’t wash their hands after changing nappies in between babies snd they contribute to spreading gastric viruses from baby to baby. My child was very ill for 6 weeks with HFMD and back to back bronchiolitis ending up with anaemia, blood tests, chest xrays and 3 months of treatment due to this.
Every time I tried to express a concern their answer was that they had more than a decade of experience but then they are incapable of identifying the blisters of the HFMD and they lied to us multiple times about our child’s health and development. The key teacher who was the room supervisor lied that our child was waving and interacting with her which was a lie as he had no communication skills developed yet.
They offer the camera access as a service paid in the fee and then they reduce access or the manager is too busy lying it takes a long time to gain access than to just give you the code and ask you to register which in total takes 2 minutes and then she gives access. It took us weeks until she have us the code despite paying for it and we had to complain first.
The head manager was informed and we expressed our concerns to her and she completely ignored these and did not answer.
They do not do activities with the babies. They sing a song in the morning and if the weather allows they take them for a walk at the back of the building and park them looking at the canal. The rest of the time is free play, but you only find out after you paid as before they promise so many activities and fun play.
Overall we wasted a significant amount of money for a place that only caused many diseases to our child who barely attended for 2 weeks our of the 7 months we paid. The teachers would not care to involve him in their “activities” if he was playing alone either. Terrible!

Nathan had a wonderful experience at Hope Montessori Nursery School in Paddington. Despite his special needs, he loved attending the nursery and exploring all the resources. He especially enjoyed playing on the jungle gym with friends and teachers, who were always kind and supportive. The teachers nurtured his love for letters, numbers, shapes, and dancing.

Their extraordinary patience, particularly in helping him become more independent and manage his emotions, has been invaluable for his long-term learning and development. We are incredibly grateful and highly recommend Hope Montessori to any parents looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their child.

Our son spent fabulous 20 months at Hope Montessori. And even though we had the usual cries, fussy eating, and runny noses, the team at Hope Montessori, led by Ms. Charlotte and Ms. Alexandra running the two rooms, were simply awesome!
