Independent tap room selling cask and keg beers brewed in their own local brewery. The venue can be described as shabby chic with a lino floor which gives it character. Great selection of beers displayed on a board and screen. I visited just after opening at 4pm on a Friday and it was already busy with a varied clientele. Staff were knowledgeable and toilets were clean. Well worth a visit. I didn't eat so can't comment on food.

Best pint in Old Town. If you like great beers and ciders, amazing pizza and a warm relaxing place to eat and drink then don't miss Tap & Brew. The selection of beer is second to none and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. See you again soon!

Always a great selection of beers and knowledgeable staff. The food on offer was excellent too.Update: now they have had a revamp the place is so much better. More comfortable. Same excellent range of drinks including a lovely spiced black cherry rum!? Beer selection brilliant as always. ?

If you love craft beer then this place is a must. Got to be one of the best craft beer bars in Swindon. Went for a drink here last night. Great selection of craft beers and the service was superb. Staff were very friendly but best of all, they were very knowledgeable and took time to explain about the different beers. Highly recommended.

Great beers but pizza we ordered took forever...eventually arrived after I cancelled order...we were told we still had drinks so why were we complaining?..we were spinning out drinks until pizza arrived! Pizza wasn't great...if you want great pizza go to the Royal Oak.

Re your reply as owner. I wasn't "happy" as you put it to continue with the order. I decided to pay for it as we had waited 40 minutes and that is way too long to wait for a pizza, busy night or not. Having waited so long we were really past being hungry and were becoming annoyed but decided to not make a fuss and have the pizza. You also made a comment that we were "still enjoying our drinks". Actually we were making the drinks last while waiting for the pizza. We then ordered another drink so your business benefitted by being so slow with the pizza order. Also there was no offer of any mayo or anything to go with the pizza...please post on here when you have checked out the pizzas at the Royal Oak (so much better than yours ), they have the same guy there that used to do them in the Little Hop then the Eternal Optimist. I suggest you listen and act on feedback rather than trying to blame me as your customer.

A great selection of locally brewed fresh beer on tap (cask and keg). Do try the milkshake ipa and the milk stout if you can!

Great little brew pub in Old Town Swindon. Beer from local Hop Kettle brewery is always in top condition with a wide variety of styles and flavours on both draft and keg. Very pleasant courtyard/beer garden out the back as well.
