I have two sons with food allergies so finding baked goods that are safe for them is next to impossible, especially since our previous safe bakery closed. But I was so happy when someone recommended honest weight to me. They made a beautiful cake for my son’s first birthday and it was absolutely delicious. I had never been to the co op before so I wasn’t sure what other goods they had and I was so pleased to see that they had other baked goods that were ready to go and free of my children’s allergens. Needless to say, I will definitely be getting my baked goods from them from now on.

This store has transformed how we buy spices, nuts, dried fruit, maple syrup, coffee, and more! You can get exactly how much or little you need and the bulk pricing makes it a good value. There are many amazing vegan options throughout the store. Products seem locally sourced where possible and sustainably chosen. The hot bar is always a supreme delight. I cannot recommend Honest Weight enough. You do not need to be a member to shop here. Hopefully you love it like we do!

Love this store. A little pricey, but the selection is excellent. Love the cheese options and i have had good luck with trying out the various coffee beans. I wish the bulk spices/nuts/grains, etc was a little better organized, but I just have to take that section slow. I also like the selection of skin care/hair/vitamins.

The coffee in the cafe is delicious, too.

We've been members for many years. The products are of the highest quality and you can taste where your money goes. A wide variety of bulk foods are available (you haven't lived until you've made chocolate chip cookies with their premium dark brown sugar!) And if you take beverages seriously this is your Mecca - whole bean coffee, loose and bagged teas, kombucha, dairy, beers and hard ciders, you name it. Members get a discount based on their level of involvement, but the general public is welcome.

Home to hard to find Vegan specials in the Albany, New York metro area. My Bacon is manufactured in Green Island, New York and is sold at Honest Weight Food Co-op. Which also has several vegan cheeses and frozen vegan products. I have been a customer since the early 2000's and shop there at least twice a week. Still not a member yet. But this is one of the places I frequent to purchase my groceries. The staff are very friendly and informative on the products sold. I must add they care about the freshness of what they carry and serve.
Was there on January 31, 2024 to purchase some items for my Wife, ( SHE LOVES THE HUMMUS WRAPS AND SEVERAL OTHER ITEMS, I cannot come home empty handed 🤣 ) there were a few items that were on the shelf with an expiration date of today January 31, 2024, I asked the staff in the deli if I can ask for a fresher one to be made and the gentleman in the deli made a few new ones, so I ended up purchasing 2 Hummus wraps, which I will say are very delicious 👍. I enjoy shopping at Honest Weight because of the VERY POSITIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE INTERACTION 👍👍👍👍👍

A very nice, albeit expensive, whole and organic foods shopping experience. Very few national brands, mainly locally sourced items, and one of the best selections of produce in the area. Upon entering, you immediately are greeted with that recognizable "health food store" smell, kind of a mixture of raw grains and patchouli. Their "reasonably priced " items are about the price of a name brand similar item at a grocery chain, and certain items I cannot see spending such an inflated amount for. However, many things are much more tasty and far more healthy than their grocery chai equivalents. For instance, their dill dip is to die for, and I'm yet to find better fresh salmon filets. Their primary competition would be Whole Foods, which is of course owned by one of the world's largest companies, so if paying a good deal more for much healthier and locally sourced items is important to you, then this is the place to go. For me, it's an every now and then thing.
