The whole Hobbs team have been very supportive and friendly, and helped me with my recovery with Physio and Speech and language Therapy over the last year, following a brain tumour operation.

They gave me exercises to practice and complete at home to continually make progress.

I suffered from a serious frontal lobe brain injury due to a car accident in 2018. Which left me with highly cognitive issues as well as physical issues due to balance problems. I was referred to Hobbs in 2020.

I couldn’t thank the whole team enough at Liss. They have all been a part of my recovery. I look at all the ladies as my support bubble. Without all of them I don’t know where I would be right now. I always look forward to coming to my sessions because when I have found it difficult they keep me focused due to their experience and dedication.

Since starting my rehab at Hobbs in 2020 I have found the team so lovely, understanding and always go out their way to help whatever the issue is.

I would never have thought I would have reached any of the goals that were set, but I achieved more than I thought were possible, due to the knowledge and encouragement I received from Emma. She is an amazing physiotherapist.

Thank you so much for all of your time and help throughout the years.

In 2012 my son was involved in a car accident resulting in a Traumatic Brain Injury at the age of 20. It was believed at that time that he may not live or at best he wouldn’t be able to walk, talk or be able to do much for himself. After a couple of years intense rehabilitation at a specialist centre, he was able to come home but still only able to take a few steps and be in his wheelchair for most of the day.
I wanted to continue his rehabilitation, and he started going to Hobbs at Liss, and since then he has made progress beyond anyone’s expectations. The staff at Hobbs have been brilliant working with him and his support team to be able to regain a lot of his independence. He goes once a week to their facility, and they have been able to get him to regain his mobility such that he is no longer wheelchair constrained and can use his walker to move around his bungalow. He has taken up archery and is now able to stand and shoot confidently (aided). He has just completed a ride of 20 km on his specially adapted trike as part of a Triathlon for disabled people supported by the staff at Hobbs. All of this has been made possible through the work of the Staff at Liss.
I can honestly say that all the staff at Hobbs are approachable and fully focus on the person they are helping. Their programme is bespoke to him and his needs. They offer huge encouragement to my son and boost his confidence immensely. He looks forward to his visit each week and always comes back with a smile. They know how to push him towards goals set but without ever over stretching. With the work of Hobbs, he is still making progress in regaining mobility. I am so grateful to them for all they have done for him and highly recommend Hobbs Rehabilitation.

I have been treated at Hobbs on several occasions since 2018 when suffering with BPPV. The treatment I have received from the vestibular physiotherapists Emma and Clare has always been excellent. They are both so caring and knowledgeable about the condition and have invariably have been able to cure my symptoms, sometimes immediately. The whole practice is most caring, friendly and efficient. I would recommend them most highly to anyone.

As an example, below is the email I sent to Emma after my most recent visit, and her reply.

Dear Emma
Thank you so much for working your magic on me on Tuesday. I can't tell you how much better I have been feeling since the treatment. It makes me realise that I may have been struggling on the cusp of BPPV for some time, a couple of weeks or so. Thank you so much for fitting me in so quickly.
In the nicest possible way, I hope I don't see you again soon!

Hi Christine,
I am so pleased you are feeling better, we hope we dont need to see you again either, but we are always here if there are any future problems.

We have been using Hobbs paediatric physio services for a number of years now. We are consistently pleased with the service received from Hobbs and all the physios we have had contact with. Debbie Jay and Kate Harvey are both brilliant with detailed expert advice and fun approaches to physio and supported hydrotherapy. A big thank you for the ongoing care provided. Great results speak for themselves.

All the team that I have met here have a wonderful work ethos which is person centred, but I was lucky enough to connect with Emma, lead vestibular physio several years ago. I have needed ongoing therapy of different kinds for many years for specific issues. Here at Hobbs , Emma has put together an exercise programme which looks at all the aspects of me, physical, spiritual and emotional, she is a wonderful therapist who has given me hope and reassurance and set me on my path of wellness and recovery. In all honesty, she continues to amaze me with her depth of understanding of my individual problems and her ability to come up with new and interesting ways of addressing my complex vestibular disorder
Thanks Emma
