We had one of the best walking experiences along the South West Coast Path because of the location and hospitality we received at Hindon Organic Farm. We stayed five nights. The South West Coast Path crosses the property. Penny and Roger provided a most welcoming time and much trail information which guided our every day. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfasts, superb! The Farm does not provide evening meals so we took them in Minehead, a short distance from the Farm, after a full day of walking. To get home after dinner, we used taxis (not expensive) as we did not have a car. As well, we used the area bus service to move from town to town. The beautiful settlement of Selworthy, for example, is just a fifteen minute walk from the Farm. |||| Exmoor is a most beautiful walking/hiking area of England.

We chose Hindon Organic Farm for our 6 day stay in Exmoor because it was a working farm set in the hills near Selworthy. We were not disappointed. The location was excellent for walks up the hills through fields and moors and to Selworthy but was close enough to Minehead when trips to town were needed. We enjoyed seeing the farm animals and discussing farming with Roger and Penny (who also were very helpful whenever we needed anything). The breakfasts were a real treat and everything was either grown on the farm or from organic sources as close as possible. The farmhouse is beautiful and comfortable. We were in the Oak Room and found it to be spacious with an even more spacious bathroom that had both bath and shower. We slept well in the comfortable bed. Yes, it is an old house so the floors creak, the lane is a typical, narrow farm lane and the farm is remote enough that the internet connection is intermittent but we found that those things helped make it an authentic farm experience.

My husband and I have just had the best time in this B&B. We were looking for somewhere that was completely separate from the hustle and bustle of London and boy did we get it. After a lovely welcome from Penny we were delighted with our room with the view of the farm and down into Minehead. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfy. It was so peaceful, we slept very well. We loved spending time in the main living area as it was the perfect place to get cosy after a day of walking on the hills.||The breakfast in the morning was one of the best I have had and knowing where the produce has come from and how it has been reared just adds to the whole experience. ||We look forward to our next visit and hope to stay longer next time.||Thank you for a lovely stay.

A last minute booking for one night at this excellent B&B. We were instructed to ignore the sat nav & follow the directions which were emailed to us. The farm is situated at the end of a very narrow lane, in a hidden valley with distant views to the sea. A pretty garden to sit in and drink our tea whilst watching the ducks, chickens and geese. The Oak bedroom had a large comfortable bed set in a room full of character with wonky walls and lovely old creaky floorboards. The breakfast order is taken the night before. There is a lot of choice. We had organic poached eggs and bacon, homemade bread, fruits and yoghurt. All beautifully cooked. The owners were very accommodating and welcomed our dog. Minehead is only 10 minutes drive away with a good dog friendly pub, 'The Old Ship Aground' - and some lovely walks too.

We were very excited to be coming to hindon and we were not disappointed. The hosts are lovely, the farm is beautiful set in the Exmoor countryside with farm animals everywhere, which was of particular enjoyment to my partner and baby. The farm house is authentic, but the rooms are very well maintained with comfy beds. The breakfast is truly organic and out of this world. All in all we could not recommend hindon highly enough. Just don't trust the sat mac location! 🙂

The position of the farm is idilic with wonderful views of nature all around. The accommodation however is quite poor by modern standards. Our stay did not start very well because even although there was four of us in the party they were only expecting two, (even although we had paid, in full at least two weeks before). No television in the rooms (just in the communial lounge area), a communial tea tray on the landing was on offer, not in the rooms, (obtaining provisions in the night was a bit tricky and could well have disturbed other guests). Tired en suite that was probably installed in the eighties that was in need of a deep clean due to black mould. Basin in the en suite was partially blocked, the water took a long times to drain. Tired bedroom cupboards and furniture, BUT the bed was lovely, huge and very comfortable. Breakfasts were lovely but ordered items were sometimes missing (baked beans missing on our last day). For the price of £99 per room per night the standard, in our opinion is not good enough. If you are a walker and just want a place to spend the night and have hearty breakfast, fine but if you are somebody who would like the standard of your room to be at least as good as you probably have at home, this B and B is probably not the place for you.

A very typical English Country Farmhouse full of character. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, if you want a roaring log fire in the evening one will be made for you. The breakfast is as good as any you will get in 5 star hotel and is truly wholesome and filling. We stopped for five nights whilst I was recovering from illness and the peaceful surroundings were a wonderful tonic. Thank you both.
