We had a couple of Barnsley chops from the shop. Honestly, they were the most tender lamb chops I've ever had, hardly had to cut them with a knife, absolutely delicious. They also have a really good range of other meats, veg, groceries and frozen produce. I've got a rhubarb crumble in the fridge which I'm looking forward to eating as well, can't wait.

Wonderful choice of meat, poultry and prepared meals. V friendly and helpful staff. Its a regular stop when cycling for pies and pasties. We also now buy our meat here due to the selection and quality of what's available. They also have a good choice of fresh fruit & veg. A lovely shop.

Popped into this butchers whilst visiting the area. Bought sausages, topside of beef, lamb chops and steak and kidney pie. Everything was top quality, all provided by a very friendly chap. Will return

For a village shop I can't fault it. Tried their game pie this week, excellent! So much more than a butchers although that side of it is wonderful.

Staff here are friendly and experts in their field, products are excellent and cuts of meat can be tailored to individually needs. The shop also has a deli counter, a ready meal selection frozen food and fresh fish delivery on Friday. They do sour dough loaves as well. The veg selection is always good and fresh.

We stayed in a holiday cottage in Kirby Malzeard and we were really impressed with the butchers’ shop . Lovely staff and a fantastic range of produce . We loved the fresh vegetables , home made casseroles and pies and the coleslaw, quiches , and cheeses made very tasty lunches . The scotch eggs are the best we’ve ever tasted.
Hoping to return to the area and would take a few pantry items from home and buy all fresh food from there for lunches and dinners . Wish we had a shop like Highside in our village.

Simply the best. I have traveled throughout the dales, Moores and the north of England. Everything about this butchers is second to none. The sausages are the best I’ve ever eaten in 52 hrs of life on this planet!!! It’s a must visit place. I travel 49 miles for this extraordinary produce ! The Christmas game pack is to die for😀 try it yourself!!!

Been using this butcher for a while now even though it's a 50+ mile round trip. The quality of the produce is second to none & the home made pies are absolutely georgous. Nice little trip out too..😊
