If you want total isolation, then this could be the place for you. Nobody else there, when I was there, so it was just me, in a field...

Nothing wrong with that, just not what I was after at this point in time, so for me, I didn't really like it and moved on to Dartmoor after one night only.

You may well like it, if that's what you want.

One of our top favourite campsites.
We wish we could find more campsites like this one.
It is like campsites of old with all the mod cons, fuss free and with beautiful rolling views. The honesty shop on the doorstep offers home reared and home made pork sausages, amazing quality british and sustainable charcoal, very cheap fire pitt rental, apple juice and local cider.
These guys are clearly not out there to rip you off, just share their land and it's a rare thing these days.
They are also amazing custodians of their farm, promoting wild life where possible and it feels great to camp somewhere where you can tread lightly.
The showers are also bright, super clean and very spacious.
Eve was also very responsive and friendly whilst not being intrusive.
It felt private but very welcoming.
