A beautiful & rustic cottage set in a rural location which was the perfect base to explore the gorgeous Cornish countryside. The charming cottage was big enough for our family of six adults and 2 dogs having four good sized bedrooms, 2 living rooms - one with a wood burner and the other a large open fire ... bliss! The large characterful kitchen has an AGA. The pool & table tennis tables in the outbuilding provided the evening entertainment!! There are plenty of walks from the house and we walked to Gillan Cove and 2 local pubs The New Inn (Manaccan) and The Shipwrights Arms (Helford) where the food at both was delicious. Although the weather wasn’t great during our stay we visited Land’s End (busy & commercialised but lovely views). Kynance Cove was beautiful but again very busy and not dog friendly. St Ives is a pretty town as is Falmouth. We went to Healeys Cyder Farm - due to COVID you have to prebook tickets, it’s dog friendly and has yummy cream teas! All in all we had an amazing holiday and would definitely like to return to The Barn.
