What an amazing place! Cosy, comfortable cottage that has everything you need. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a friendly, homely, affordable home from home rather than pricey Instagram fodder. The location is unbeatable, on a working farm deep in the most beautiful of the Lakes valleys. Surrounded by crags, trees, animals, loads of footpaths and your very own beck just outside the back door. Run by a really friendly family who can help out with local info and more. Loved the place and can't wait to go back.

We stayed in the camping barn. Best one I've stopped in. 10+ mattresses upstairs. Log fire down stairs. Big kitchen with oven and 4 hobs. Nice space outside with a bbq. Chris and family really nice and his dog is good at football! Pub 15 minutes walking away and we walked the old man of Coniston starting from the barn. I would definitely recommend staying here. There is also a cottage available. Bring a torch as it was dark, but the stars were amazing on our first night. The road up to the farm is a little narrow but we managed fine in a camper van.

Exceptionally fun place to go with CLOSE friends. You all have to bunk in the attic space, which is cosy...
We went in November and found it hard to keep the main room warm with just the wood stove. Maybe we're just soft townies though.
Great location fur walkers and climbers alike.

Good base for the Duddon, Coniston and Eskdale fells. Stayed there a few years ago in the barn. Working hill farm and accommodations run by nice people. Will return.
