We held my friends baby shower at hettys today and they kindly let us have the upstairs room and served us high tea. It was such a beautiful room and we felt very special. The food was amazing and the scones were out of this world.

They were very busy when we were there so service was lacking, a lot of tables were not cleared, the scones were dry and the coffee was not very good. A beautiful old tea house though.

Hi stopped here while on our canal boat and ordered 2 high teas, the food was amazing beautiful homemade scones. Even took some of the beautiful cakes back with us. Biscoff latte was also really good. Would deffinatly recommend this place to anyone.

We have been to Hetty’s Tearoom today for my sister’s baby shower, and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect – they were fantastic. The high tea was delicious, with the scones being a real highlight. Thank you for such a lovely afternoon! The Alice in Wonderland-themed room was a fantastic touch. Thank you again!

I visited Hetty's Tea Shop on Friday the 21st.
It's in an excellent spot and would be lovely in the spring/summer. It's small inside but with plenty of seating. Also lots of good seating outside.
I ordered a cappuccino and a flat white, and both were very disappointing. They were both just filtered coffees with a bit of froth on top, not properly barista made. I am not sure if their coffee machine was out of service or this is what they usually serve but they were below par. I guess the clue is in the name, it being a tea shop!
I also had a slice of cake, chocolate Jaffa which was pleasant.
The staff were polite, it was clean inside and out and there was plenty of parking, although it is still winter.

Lovely afternoon tea recently at Hetty's. Food is consistently good, fresh made to order not sat for hours, cakes and scones to die for in a quiet chilled out spot, to truly enjoy switch off, slow down, relax
It gets very busy, it's a small business, if there's a problem then raise it and give the chance to put it right, be polite, it's not difficult, how quickly people forget recent times.

Had brunch at Hettys today. It was busy but didn't have to wait too long to order. They advised that there was a bit of a wait for food but was delivered quicker than we expected which was a bonus.

Lovely little gem of a cafe. Great decor and food.
Parking is free right outside. We didn’t struggle to park in January.
Toilets were public ones across the lane.
