We visited this in-town vineyard while visiting friends in Meltham. What a great surprise, who’d have guessed? Tom stood in on the tour for his grandfather owner and not only knew his stuff, but offered insight into his passion for the wine and business. The the Solaris was the best of the three we tried, enough to buy a few bottles. This is/will become a great venue for small gatherings, picnics, tastings, etc.

Wonderful experience at the vineyard today. The tour was run by Fiona and Tom who were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We learnt about the story and history of their vineyard, how they grow their grapes and the wine making process. We’ve done a lot of vineyard tours abroad and love being able to do them closer to home now.

I 100% recommend this vineyard tour and you even get some delicious home made treats with your wine tasting. All of the wines were delicious and I bought 3 bottles to take home with me.

We had a lovely afternoon in the sunshine. We were given a warm welcome by Alan & Tom. Tom gave us an informative guide of the vineyard, while Alan explained the complexities of wine making and both were very knowledgeable and entertaining. We sampled 3 wines which were all very nice, and purchased a couple of bottles for further research purposes. The vineyard is in a stunning location and well worth a visit!

We had a wonderful experience visiting this family-run Yorkshire vineyard. The setting was picturesque, nestled in the rolling countryside, and the hosts were warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their craft. The tour was informative yet relaxed, offering a great insight into English winemaking. The tasting was a highlight — each wine had its own unique character, and it was lovely to hear the stories behind them. A perfect afternoon and highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

Wow what a stunning place, from the moment you arrive your greeted with a warm welcome, then you introduced to the everyone by Fiona ( a lovely family ) the views are spectacular, the tour was done by tom was very informative and interesting, then back to the wine tasting were tom grandad explained more about the process whilst tasting the wine which was exceptional and then homemade snacks were provided which were delicious.. highly recommend helme edge from start to finish you were made to feel welcome , could have sat outside all afternoon enjoying the lovely wine ,we did however purchase a few bottles ( rude not too ) and continued to enjoy at home lovely finish to what was a wonderful day out with my family..also a great gift idea who as everything

We had a wonderful and informative afternoon at Helme Edge Vineyard. Alan and Tom gave an interesting and knowledgeable tour around the vineyard in a relaxed and friendly way. A great tasting too! We were highly impressed by the quality of the wines offered. It's a delight to have this enterprise in our neighbourhood. We wish them ever success.

Excellent Afternoon! Four of us visited on Saturday & had the most wonderful time meeting Alan, Fiona & Tom. From our arrival and throughout the afternoon we were made so welcome and enjoyed the wines sampled along with nibbles (particularly the chocolate brownie 😍). The location is stunning and they all clearly love what they do. Thank you so much for having us all. I couldn’t pick a favourite wine as they were all delicious. Hence an online purchase is on the cards!
