It's a really good Indian. Service is good but can be slow sometimes. Really nice waiting staff and the owner is more than happy to accompany everyone. The food is fresh and not swimming in grease. Good selection of drinks and of course there is cobra. Can be dead quiet, but it was nice and busy when we went this time. Always good and fresh.

Most horrendous experience with their take away service tonight. We picked up an £85 take away and they sent us the wrong items. Called the restaurant I got an absolutely disgusting reply from the guy that answered the phone saying he wasn’t able to help me and hung up the phone. My boyfriend called them back and got the same answer. Honestly disgusting. I don’t eat meat myself and the wrong items should be addressed not just having the phone hung up on us.

I love this place. There’s always a warm welcome, and the food is consistently good. They do great naan breads & sides and always a nice fresh crisp pint of Cobra on tap. The Gulabi chicken is delicious and mild but packed full of flavour, but for something hotter the Mirchi Mosalla or Naga Tikka are great!

We recently had a very disappointing experience at Hedon Spice. We were kept waiting for over two hours for our food, despite having two small children (both under 18 months) with us. The staff could clearly see our situation but showed no concern. They repeatedly assured us that our food was coming out next, but after each promise, we were left waiting even longer. The final time they told us it was on its way, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes.

When we finally decided we couldn't wait any longer and asked to take the food away (since they offer takeaways), it took another 20 minutes for them to box it up. The restaurant was quiet, and we had arrived as soon as it opened, so there was no excuse for the delay. They claimed to give us a discount, but the bill still came to £140.

The only positive aspect of our visit was the young waitress, who seemed accustomed to this kind of poor service and tried her best to be helpful. However, the overall lack of compassion for our young children and the dreadful service means we won't be returning.

We have used their takeaway service for a long time without issues, but this was our first and last visit to the restaurant. Additionally, when we asked about baby changing facilities, the waitress informed us there were none. The restaurant is also not accessible for prams or wheelchairs due to the lack of disabled access.

To anyone considering dining here, especially with young children or mobility needs, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

The food was absolutely excellent, really good, light, tasty and very well prepared. NOT heavy and swimming in oil like a lot of places.

The service was terrible. Waited 1h15m before our starters arrived and 1h40m before our mains and sides arrived. Also ordered Naan breads which never arrived, which was a shame because people say the naan breads are really good. Not impressed with the long wait at all, it spoiled what could have been an excellent experience.

This tandoori mixed grill cost £10.95 and this is all you received and the chips at £2.00 were totally inedible so had to throw them away. Not impressed
