Found this little gem today for the first time. Had an amazing breakfast that has kept us full until tea time. The ingredients were first class, cooked to perfection and served piping hot. Best coffee I've had in a long time. We were kept entertained by a couple of local chaps who obviously drop in most days and I can't blame them. The service was great and the 'no tip' policy is admirable. We will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious offerings. Well done to all involved, I would highly recommend a visit.

I am sorry to say I was a little disappointed today
Went to buy some quality products for family arriving today, stood at the counter for 10 mins , no one even spoke to me
Lady came from the back to serve breakfasts but never even spoke to me or explained how long she would be, gave up and went to coop
I write this to help not hinder but customer service is critical to getting /retaining customers and I like to see local business being successful.
I will of course try again because what they had looked good I would just like to be able to buy some

Delicious sausage rolls and breakfast sandwiches, as well as a good range of cooking sauces/spice mixes.
Pleased to see coffee from 200 degrees sold here too, including whole-beans, which is really handy for home-based workers / coffee degenerates.
Well worth a visit!

Matt you are the best!!!
Just called me to confirm that you finally got some beef ribs and I was there next day for them.
So tender and delicious, please keep bringing them as there are a few Argentos in the area.

I never write reviews but feel compelled to. The staff were really knowledgeable and really friendly. But more importantly the food is of great quality and well prepared. This little gem of a place is well worth a visit. I will be back again.

Exorbitant prices, rude staff, wrong food, overcharged.... I pre-ordered our family food for Christmas, arriving on 23rd Dec to collect. I had to stand in a long queue outside in the torrential rain for 45 minutes to then stand in the shop, soaked to the skin and frozen for another 20 minutes whilst they got my order ready. It should have been boxed and ready to go to prevent customers having to queue but also having to be in a confined space for such a long time. A member of staff who was preparing some meat for me wore his mask around his chin, I asked if he wouldn't mind wearing it over his nose & mouth, and he barked back that he needed to see what he was doing! I didn't realise you couldn't see if you wore a mask. There were no prices on the pre-order form, now I know why, the prices are EXTORTIONATE. I asked for a turkey to feed 6 people, I was given one weighing over 5kg that feeds 12 costing ÂŖ65. I was told I couldn't return it for a smaller one. I asked for a piece of beef, also for 6 people and that cost ÂŖ69!!! They charged me twice for a small pork pie. The large pork pie was ÂŖ16 which on tasting was very dry and burnt. None of these prices were on the order form, had they have been then I wouldn't have gone there in the first place. Rude staff, hiked up prices, incorrect portions of food given so you pay for food you don't even want. Just terrible!

IN REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE: Firstly I did not raise my voice to the delivery driver. He strolled into the shop in front of everyone queueing, I did not know he was your driver and thinking he was a customer jumping the queue I just asked him if he realised what he had done, and said it would have been good if he had just let the waiting queue know who he was to prevent everyone becoming irritated, there was absolutely no shouting from me at him. Nor did I shout at the girl who served me, I had to talk loudly over the sound of the rain outside as I commented on the ridiculous way the orders were handled. She was purely a young member of staff who was not at fault here and whom I did not shout at, only the senior members who 'run' the business are at fault.

Secondly, no, I didn't have an umbrella, but was wearing a heavy duty rain coat which was saturated due to standing in the rain for 45 minutes whilst queuing. Had you have prepared the orders I wouldn't have needed an umbrella. Maybe you should have emailed your customers to let them know of the ridiculous long wait they could expect whilst collecting their pre-ordered items.

Thirdly, I know of many doctors who wear face masks in theatre to perform intricate operations, they do not pull their masks down to perform their jobs, so your butcher using that as an excuse is feeble and not COVID secure. As you reminded me, we are amidst a global pandemic and his mask is to keep everyone else safe which he wasn't doing, so you should be following the rules and regulations fully.

Also in reference to the Pandemic, you say you were operating a "one in -one out" system to keep your customers and staff safe. That is an utter lie; whilst I was being served one of your regular customers also entered the shop and was being served by the butcher who can't cut a slice of meat whilst wearing a mask. So there was no "one in one out" rule being adhered to here.

I appreciate you're a small family business, but you shouldn't be breaking COVID rules to try to fulfil your customers orders. You should not have taken on double the orders with less staff, this is surely only going to result in chaos, which it obviously did. I'm a paying customer who is only pointing out the flaws in your business so perhaps you can learn from them, an apology should be the first action you perform, not a retaliation.
