Andrew and family provide stunning quality produce, a long ago new years resolution was to reduce/eliminate supermarket meat due concern about animal welfare, the transportation of live and butchered meat and preference to cooking performance of local farm produced food. This is our absolute favourite place to get meat. It's all absolutely delicious - steak, mince, hogget, mutton, beef shin, sausages, unsmoked bacon, properly smoked bacon... It's well butchered too so if you buy the diced meat you can just use it as is. Very friendly people too and you know the animals have lived a lovely life.

We thought we would do something a little bit ‘out of the box’ this Christmas. Instead of our normal turkey, on Christmas Day we had two Hallsford Farm legs of lamb. We were not disappointed! They came out of the oven moist and tender, the most delicious lamb I have ever tasted.
I would recommend Hallsford Farm to anyone.

Bought steak burgers and black pudding at Armstrong Bridge in Newcastle today. They were the best burgers I've ever tasted, the black pudding was to die for too.
Can't wait to try the sausages!!!!!
I don't usually leave reviews, however these were definitely worth mentioning.

I bought hallsford pork sausage and black pudding for my son at the last farmers market in Hexham. His feedback was these are the best and tastiest he has had.

Brought a tray of sausages at jesmond market yesterday for £4.66 thinking there would be six in the pack Only when opened you could see there was only four the label had Been conveniently placed at one end of the pack hiding were the other two sausages should have been. Haven't tried them yet. Not impressed.

Bought Brisket and Sirloin at Bishop Auckland Food Festival. Brisket was full of flavour and slow cooked just perfect. Sirloin steaks had loads of flavour but were stringy and crossed by blood vessels / sinews (not fat!).
