Grandparents lived in Thirsk,we were introduced to Hudson's pork pies through them. When ever we visit Thirsk ,we make a special effort to take a few pork pies home with us,infact my brother has even been known to make a special journey to collect some!

Thirsk has three very good butchers, but Hudson's is the best. Particular highlights are the pork pies and the steaks. Highly recommended!

Returned to Thirsk after having great meat before but discovered shop now closed. Nearby shop said the owners had retired.

Great pork and pork pies try the boned and rolled shoulder ( Cook slow for 5 hours) then remove foil then crips the crackling in a hot oven. 🐷
