This minimalistic cafe provides a relaxed atmosphere for a bite of cake and coffee. I took a few of their selection home since I was brunching in the area and a houjicha latte to go.

The roll cakes were airy and light. The strawberry cream was too strong a combination with the matcha sponge. I enjoyed the houjicha more. We also got a sesame cookie but that was just a mess to eat and not that tasty.

I can’t comment on the coffee but my houjicha latte had a pleasant roasted flavour.

I ordered a roll cake and an iced matcha latte, which came to £10.10. I’m not entirely sure why the total was higher than expected — it may have included a service charge or an upcharge not listed on the menu.

The roll cake was mildly sweet, with a neutral flavor. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t particularly stand out either. As for the matcha latte, it lacked the umami depth I was hoping for and felt a bit underwhelming.

BEST MATCHA IN BRISTOL
The only other matcha that I’ve had that is on par with this is at a Japanese Tea house in Asia so I think that explains a lot!!
There is so much bad matcha around that when you have a good one it stands out a l out.
The colour as well shows how good the matcha is!!!

One of the best coffee shops in Bristol! And believe me, we’ve tried a lot of speciality coffee! The staff are welcoming and polite, the atmosphere is very calm. The coffee selection is fantastic, very high quality and delicious. The cakes are nice too. The only feedback I can give is that it would be good to have a savoury option in the selection of food. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to visit again.

Always excellent espresso and intriguing pour over coffee. You will find unique flavor profiles here that are worth trying. The dessert is not only visual stunning but also incredibly delicious, with perfectly balanced combinations of simple yet exquisite ingredients.

One of the best coffee shops in Bristol and possibly in the UK. The staff are emanating kindness and calm. The coffee quality is amazing. Alongside coffee, there is a choice of cold drinks, a very nice Matcha and a delicious Hojicha latte The service is outstanding. And the place itself is minimalist and quiet, perfect for a recharging pause, a date or a catch up. Highly recommend!
