We had a wonderful family stay in both Apple and Hazel Barns. These barns are so perfect for a family stay. Spacious and light and bright, and warm with the cosy underfloor heating. And, above all, absolutely spotlessly clean. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen really well equipped and loads of useful local information about this beautiful area. Malcolm and Lewana were perfect hosts. Very welcoming and helpful and accommodating of requests. It was wonderful to be in eco barns too and see ground source pumps in action for cosy, radiator free living. The local village shop is really well equipped and it was so helpful that Lewana stocked us up with complimentary breakfast goodies for the first morning. We will most definately return to this beautiful part of Kent, where it's also so easy to get to the coast.

We had the most wonderful family holiday for 3 nights at the end of December in Hazel Barn and Apple Barn. Both perfect. Warm, cosy, spotlessly clean, light and bright and so well furnished and equipped. Beds super comfortable, showers amazing and every need catered for. The kitchen and relaxing spaces are amazing and all the kitchen equipment spotlessly clean and felt new. Lewana and Malcolm are both so welcoming and helpful but not at all intrusive. This is excellent accommodation and we hope we can return to this beautiful part of Kent.

Friendly welcome and beautifully quiet location with open plan, luxury, spotless accommodation made our stay very comfortable. Pocket sprung beds, a choice of bath or walk in shower in 2 bathrooms was very convenient. A modern kitchen and generous seating made the stay very relaxing. Underfloor, tiled heating and air exchange was welcome although the easy to open windows were appreciated in the 27C temperatures. We had 4 bed accommodation with 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 2 bed . Good for 2 couples . As our family lives near by, the children came to stay. Toys and games are available.They loved the chickens and horses. No dogs but plenty of wild life Bees feeding on the Verbena outside our window and a hare sitting looking in, were rare treats. Owners were generous and helpful. The farm is easily reached off a quiet Roman road 15 minutes from the Folkstone motorway. Canterbury quickly reached on the same straight road. Free internet with associated mobile phone connection was free but the reuter had to be switched on and off occasionally. Memorable stay and we would come here again. Forgive hasty lived in photos below.

We had such a lovely escape from London at one of the 2 bedroom self catering homes at Great Field Farm. Such a beautiful location with so many activities close by including beaches, animal parks, castles and Canterbury. The owners had thought of everything for families and the toys and books were a big hit with the kids (6 and 1 years) and very helpful for us! It was lovely to have breakfast on a B&B basis at the main house too as this saved us having to cook. Breakfast was delicious with lovely eggs from their own chickens. Both these and the two horses were a big hit with our 6 year old. The accommodation is spotless and very spacious, with fantastic bathrooms too. Thank you to Lewana and Malcolm for a lovely few days!

The suite is fantastic, very comfortable and has plenty of space to stretch out. It is quite convenient to Canterbury and Southeast England for sightseeing. The breakfast was excellent, we'd never had a full English breakfast before and found it delicious. The owners are very accommodating and friendly, and had some great tips on what to go visit and how to get there. Definitely worth a stay!

Stayed for 3 nights in Sunset Lodge to explore Canterbury and Whitstable for a few days; great base for visiting Canterbury Cathedral, St.Augustine’s Abbey, Whitstable Castle and Gardens, Whitstable and Herne Bay Beach and Reculver Towers. We also lunched ate at The Crab and Winkle in Whitstable, The Royal Inn and Old Weaver’s House in Canterbury.||||The property was well set out and well furnished for self-catering in the evenings. It gave us room for a wheelchair user and we particularly welcomed the wet room. We enjoyed the tranquility, beautiful views and sunsets as well as the great cooked breakfasts every morning! Friendly hosts who were very helpful but not intrusive and left us to enjoy our stay but we’re on hand when required.||||Thank you again and we look forward to returning in the future.
