Very popular and a large variety of local produce across all types of products (oil, sauces, honey, chocolate, vegetables, wine and beer etc). There is an excellent butcher, fishmonger, cheese counter and fresh deli counter with salads, lasagna, curry, and so much more. Cafe is reasonably priced but can get very busy peak times. Waitrose is attached so you can easily do the rest of shopping after your visit.

Exceptional food and quality, showcasing the very best of Cornwall. Stayed for 2 weeks in Newquay but visited the Truro store of Waitrose, and this is inside and is a little gem. If you want quality and don't mind paying a little more, then this is definitely for you! Bought Ribeye steak from butchers and best I've ever eaten, along with some beautiful quiches and wonderful cakes. Will be returning for sure.

I really didn’t feel comfortable with one woman coughing at the cheese counter (staff) and the other with long red hair that wasn’t tied back and was touching food as she lent forwards (staff). Do you not require food hygiene certificates to work here on the counter? Selection is good but would only buy pre packaged food now

We visit regularly and usually buy T bone steaks which although pricey are well worth it. However we visited the store on Monday 8th April and went to the fish counter. No one asked if we were OK and needed any help. We saw some cod fillet which was wrapped and priced a small piece the size of a small fish and chips portion. It had written on it £21.00 but thought that was a mistake so we asked the lady behind the counter who was not working just chatting to the man. She came over with no smile on her face and we asked her the price she said £21 is the price. My husband laughed and said really I thought that was a mistake that's very pricey. She said that's the price if you dont like it go and shop elsewhere. We were shocked at her hostility she was 100% serious made us feel terrible. It was like that's the price if you can't afford it go away. You hear about people abusing staff but staff abusing customers.! We didn't answer her back or rise to her bait just walked away. I did purchase some da bara bakery items served by a friendly lady at the till because I had the items in my trolley but we won't visit again. If the staff are rude and don't smile and literally try to humiliate the customers. There were no other customers in there at the time. So the staff would rather chat to each other and because a customer talked to them they are rude and tell customers to go away. It's like they are sabotaging the shop.
I will tell my friends and family of my experience WE WON'T BE BACK.

A unique place filled with Cornish products connected to, but separate, Waitrose in Truro. I was very happy with the meat and fish from this shop, including John Dory.

As well as being a locally sourced food store, it also includes upmarket Cafe with high prices and high quality food.

Delicious breakfast, everything was served piping hot and within good serving times.

The Cafe was a little busy but the staff coped well.
