What an absolute delight of a place! Greeted upon entry, where we decided to sign up as members, had a look round their lovely shop before checking out there film and information screens. Once we've filled ourselves up on knowledge, it was time to fill bellies up with food and drink! We went up to the Firken Deck and grabbed ourselves our free flight of beers to taste, as well as some food. For me personally as a non-alcohol drinker, I wasn't a big fan of the beer, my other half loved it, but the food was some of the best food we had in the IoW! Every member of staff was cheerful and friendly. No faults whatsoever. Well worth the pennies!

Why, what an amazing experience. Yes, you pay for a year's membership, which is fine. On entry, you are greeted by friendly staff who are extremely helpful and explain how the experience works. The restaurant bar area overlooking the brewing area is spacious and beautifully laid out, and again, you are greeted by friendly staff. The beer sample is a brilliant idea, and of course, the beers are all fantastic ( that's why we're here ).
Now the food , we had the fondue with pretzels and the cheese and pickle sandwich now when you first look at the menu you might think it's pricey but the food is out of this world! Fresh tasty and truly delicious, rather me describing everything just go and try for yourself. We are going back on the weekend. Thank you, Goddards, for an awesome experience. we will be back very soon

I visited the brewery with a friend. We got 3 1/3 pints to taste for 5 Pounds and the most delicious Sunday roast I've ever had. Super friendly staff and a beautiful modern building. Highly recommend.

The brewery has a nice size car park with disabled parking and a good flat entrance into the brewery. Easy to do with a wheelchair.
The shop is nicely laid out and we were greeted by friendly staff. Admission is a one off payment of £12.50 each but this included a pint glass each, a souvenir guide about the brewery, 10% off of purchases in the shop and a free trio of tasting beers each or a soft drink. You don't have to have the free tasting beers or soft drink straight away either, which was nice.
There is a nice sized disabled toilet downstairs and a lift to take you up to the bar/restaurant. Only difficulty with the lift is that you have to hold the button continuously for it to keep moving, which I find tricky but thankfully hubby is on hand to do this for me.
The bar/restaurant is a good size, with nice space between tables to get a wheelchair through and there is a good selection of different sized tables to choose from.
The food we had was delicious, with a good, interesting choice of dishes and at a reasonable price. Our only criticism would be that the sweet menu is a little lacking but we still managed to find something each.
Also it would be handy to have another disabled toilet upstairs as it does take a while to use the lift.
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely place to relax in, with a good atmosphere. We will definitely be making the most of our membership.

Cracking Sunday Roast at Goddards Brewery

Last Sunday, me mates and I decided to pop down to Goddards Brewery on the Isle of Wight for a proper Sunday roast, and blimey, what a treat it was! Nestled in the picturesque countryside, this gem of a place has a warm and inviting atmosphere that screams "British charm".

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the kind of hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The staff were top-notch, all smiles and ready for a natter. We found ourselves a cosy spot and settled in, eagerly anticipating the feast ahead.

Now, onto the main event – the Sunday roast. It was absolutely bang-on. The roast beef was tender and cooked to perfection, practically melting in your mouth. The Yorkshire puddings were the size of your head and beautifully crisp. None of that soggy nonsense here! The roasties were golden and crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, just like Mum used to make. And the gravy, oh the gravy, rich and flavoursome, tying everything together like a well-wrapped pressie.

The veg was spot-on too – fresh and perfectly cooked, with a nice bit of crunch. They didn’t skimp on the portions either; you get a hearty plateful, enough to satisfy even the hungriest of blokes.

We washed it all down with some of Goddards' own brews. The Ale of Wight was a particular favourite, with its smooth, malty flavour. You can tell these chaps know their stuff when it comes to brewing. Proper job.

The atmosphere in the brewery is second to none. It's got that rustic charm, with plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. It's the kind of place where you can settle in for the afternoon, having a good chinwag and forgetting about the outside world.

To sum it up, if you're on the Isle of Wight and fancy a cracking Sunday roast, Goddards Brewery is the place to be. Great food, top-quality beer, and a welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back time and time again. Cheers to the folks at Goddards for a spot-on afternoon!

We really enjoy going to Goddard's Brewery. It never disappoints. The food is fabulous. It's great value for money. The £12.50 entry is good value for money for this you get 3 glasses of beer (beer flight) of your choice, a free beer glass, plus 10% discount in the gift shop. Fab value, friendly staff and great food. See you for breakfast in the morning Goddard's 🙂

This place is nothing short of amazing. Super people working here where nothing is too much trouble at all. We came this morning and became members - which included a paddle of ales. We returned for a late lunch and a drink in the sunshine. Staff still awesome and so so friendly!
On here people are horrified about having to become a member but in our opinion us great value for money.
If you are in the area give it a try!
