I used to swear by Ginsters and their range of pasties and buy them on a weekly basis for years however after moving back to the UK having spent 8 years abroad I'm extremely disappointed at how much the quality has dropped throughout their whole range.
I stopped buying their Cornish pasties last year though as whatever little meat was present in them was barely meat at all but mostly gristle.
My favourite used to be their pepper steak slice but I'll no longer be buying those either because despite giving them the benefit of the doubt several times now, there is also barely anything but gristle instead of meat in them too and the last one I ate had nothing but gristle in it.
Such a shame that a company whose praises I regularly used to sing and recommend has significantly increased the cost of their products and simultaneously reduced the quality of their ingredients.
It's also quite shocking as to how many other people I've spoken with have stopped buying Ginsters for this exact same reason!
Yet another once proud and popular brand ruined by what I can only imagine to be greed and diminished integrity.
RIP Ginsters

A perfect example of health and safety gone mad as a factory and workplace. Absolutely terrible site to work on, the management's expectations are just ridiculous and the staff seem terrified of them! The people in charge of this company are clearly useless and need replacing as soon as possible. Especially the health and safety management. You can't avoid every risk and keep a place working, obviously!

As for the food, well it isn't great. The meat is a low quality as a rule. The pastry is fine, and I quite like the seasoning in the sausage rolls, but what few points these positives gain are immediately lost in pricing. The products wearing Ginsters branding are generally extremely expensive compared to the competition, and definitely not worth half the price.

I love Ginsters slices and range.
Tried the Quorn, pasty etc.
This time had the Ginsters peppered steak slice.
Decent chunks of beef but I would classify it as a mix of steak and brisket.

I have eaten Cornish pasties all over Cornwall, and Ginsters pasties don't taste nothing like Cornish pasties.

On holiday in the area and on the way to Tesco for supplies we passed your Factory. Almost a handbrake turn in the road as we didn’t know you were there!
I must say, well worth the quick stop! The staff were fantastically helpful and friendly. The factory seconds pasty boxes were excellent value and we cooked a few as soon as we got home.
Some people have a problem with Ginsters not being “proper Cornish pasty’s” but fresh out the factory and then fresh out the oven, you can’t go wrong!!
Thank you guys and girls.

Desperately poor taste and content compared with others. It is probably because you are a big operation that you feel you need to market more and make a profit that way.
However the product itself is very poor and does not deserve the name ,"Cornish".What a let down!!!
