I have purchased their pickled brisket many times and always enjoyed it. Not today ! Purchased at costco opened the vacuum sealed container and woow the smell of rotten garbage knocked me over ! Washed it thinking it was from vacuum pack , and proceeded to cook ! Wrong move absolutely stunk the house ! Hard earned money down the drain! Cleaned my saucepan within an inch of its life, bleached all surfaces and can still smell it !

I had a disappointing experience with Gilbert's Kosher Foods. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not meet my expectations, and I found the overall standard to be lacking. Additionally, I have concerns about the director, Hershl Shtoltzberg. Based on my experience, I do not feel comfortable trusting him with food safety or financial matters. I would not recommend this business to others looking for quality products and trustworthy service.

Pickled salt beef brisket: have bought this on numerous occasions and loved it. Sadly, this weekend has a very bad experience. Purchased at waitrose on fri and opened the packaging to cook it and it smelled of garbage bins. Vacuum seal was fully intact, meat a beautiful colour so I gave it a rinse and proceeded to cook it. Big mistake. I still can’t get that rotten meat smell out of my house despite all the scented candles. Took back to supermarket and I’m sure they’ll investigate further, but Somewhere along the cold chain this item was compromised. I think I’m more disappointed that I will never be able to eat salt beef again.

The roast sliced turkey looks revolting. Never proper slices. Some slices have red pieces in the middle of them. G-d knows what that is.. The business seems not to have a website. This product is particular is very poor, often wet when the packet is opened and it had not been frozen. Disgracful......
