Well, what can I say?||A stunning location, exquisite food and the best afternoon tea I have ever experienced. ||This was a treat for my partners Birthday (in relation to this, a free Pumpkin Pie was given to us without prompt!).||Our coats were taken, we were offered to sit wherever we please and we selected the drawing room window. WHAT A VIEW!|The service from entrance to exit was phenomenal. From doors being held open for us, to politely waiting patiently outside the room for us whilst we were on our way to pay the bill. Every single aspect of today’s experience was well polished, a service of Royal Standard. We will definitely be coming back. The food was incredible and well worthy of the two Michelin Star quality standard you would expect. ||We would love to stay here with you all sometime and we will be back to try out the festive Afternoon Tea. (It seems everyone wants to meet our new baby!)||I do not often go visit this site to leave reviews, but this one is thoroughly deserved. The gentleman that welcomed us today was exceptional in his attention to detail, the ladies in the hallway when we left- very polite and warm, and Cole (on his first day!) was fantastic.||A great team, a stunning location, and the most formal dining you will experience in Devon, topped off with beautiful surroundings / views.

Gidleigh Park Chagford has delivered outstanding experience's for decades.|We went for tea in October 24. |The Hotel is an experience for so many reasons.|First is the location. The journey is along a long and winding road that ends in the hotel's beautiful grounds.|A Dartmoor oasis nestled a short trip from Chagford 's centre.|Secondly the unbridled welcome from the staff within a glorious hotel with luxurious furnishings and crackling log fires is very special.|Thirdly the afternoon tea was everything you would expect from the Ritz and more. It was lavish and there was nothing wasted I honesty thought I'd've needed a sack-truck to get me to the car.|We all enjoyed every special aspect of our visit.|The standout feature was our treatment...I felt like a V.I.P. nothing was too much trouble and sometimes having someone being nice and happy is the lift we all need.||So no alcohol or anything addictive apart from the cakes,sandwiches and scones with Devon clotted cream with jam on top!||Gidleigh Park is Destination Fine Dining and never has it ever been disappointing.||Good on them for delivering decades of decadence!

This is such a special hotel. We went with our son, daughter in law and three dogs. Stayed in the Pavilion which has two ensuite rooms, sitting room and kitchen. The new chef had only been in place for three weeks. Food was superb as usual. Everything was perfect, even the weather. Walked for three hours on the moors the first day. Even managed to tire out our spaniel. Looking forward to our next visit.

A most enjoyable and relaxing time on a special weekend away. The setting is stunning in the Dartmoor National Park. The levels of service, from reception, dining to housekeeping was exceptional,||||We were looked after so well - nothing was too much bother. They get it all just right.||||We look forward to returning.

First class hotel in lovely location. The food was excellent with no problems taking account of our food intolerances. We were well looked after for the whole stay. This iis the third time we have stayed at Gidleigh and we will return soon.

The hotel sets a standard for customer service - just excellent in every way. Loved the lounges to rest in, great food and superb rooms. It really was a delight to stay for a few days - and the snow just added to the atmosphere 🙂

Amazing hotel with lovely walks and attentive staff. It was lovely to be able to take our dog with us and our room was excellent with views over the garden. It really is a special place !

Wow!! What an amazing weekend we had. You really couldn’t have done anymore, every member of your staff was just so lovely. We felt thoroughly spoilt… so, thank you all so very much, it was just magical ?
