Walked in with a mission to get excellent steaks for a BBQ, asked the butcher's recommendation and he steered us to some insane ribeyes. We BBQ'd them (too much, went medium by mistake when we both like we both like medium rare) and still, they where some of the best steaks I have eaten despite my poor skills. Great place, amazing produce and excellent friendly staff.

Recent change of ownership sees this pair up with Ellis butchers in Blackheath village. Good range of fayre and can order anything for collection. Friendly and knowledgable staff who will give advice and help select the right thing for you. The prices are fair given the quality of the meat and £7 for a rough shot pheasant isn't outrageous. Block pancetta and Guanciale, so you can buy what you need. As you'd expect sausages are great and dry cured bacon exceptional. We tried many local shops and used the smoked streaky and Cumberland chipolatas as pigs in blankets to compliment the Appledore turkey at Christmas.

Just to be good, the owner who is on his way out is charging outrageous prices and don't care about a brand that has been Blackheath for over 50 years, got charged £100+ for 1,8k of skirt and 800gr Ribeye! I could order online for a prime butcher with delivery, and it will be less. I always support my local business, but I don't appreciate business taking advantage of customers. Advise the owner never to take customers for granted, you are just driving your own business down.

Excellent choice of high quality meat - friendly staff always up for good and honest and valuable advice. Prices are reasonable if compared to quality and taste of products which often rotates based on seasonality / what local producers can offer. This is a must go place for meat lovers, highly recommended
