Went to the cafe with my elderly mother and Bought 2 scones and 2 hot drinks and was charged £13 something. When we sat down, the menu said cream tea after 2.30pm was £4.45 so I took my receipt back to query the amount I was charged. The young lady with dark hair in a pony tail said that because I’d asked for butter with the scones ( my mum with Alzheimer’s doesn’t like cream), the deal didn’t apply. Really? No words

Very pleasant. You visit a garden centre and find yourself looking at weird shaped pasta and pickled gherkins. Strange.
The plants were in great condition and the staff were actively caring for them which was lovely.

Why on earth has the cafe changed the way they serve the customers. We went on Sunday and it was mayhem. You shouldn't be working the till and serving cakes. Hygiene is non existing there now. 2 people only serving. Its definitely gone down hill

I went to the café yesterday for a meal with a friend.
I was impressed with the reserve a table when you wait in line to order your food. It was quite busy and didn't have to wait long for our food.
I ordered Ham and Cheese Toastie with salad and chips. I also got 2 bottles of Posh Pop and a very large fruit Scone for £21.95.
When I tried to open the screw top bottle of pop, I cut my hand on the glass which I hadn't noticed in the damaged lid and it started to bleed.
There was a lady taking the food to the next table and I brought it to her attention and she replied "I'll bring a plaster over"
Then she went away and brought our food and plaster. (but not the accident book to report it) I'm the H&S officer at work and any incident has to be reported in the book.
My ham and cheese toastie was tasty, but the salad was dry and looked like it had been put out 3 days previous and the chips were over cooked.
At the end of our meal I asked to see the manager and then she brought out the incident book.
We recorded my accident and then I mentioned my food. At which she replied " I'll let the kitchen know" and walked off as quickly as she could.
I really don't think she cared about the fact I'd cut my hand or the fact the food wasn't upto standard.
It'll be a long time before I eat there again.

Fantastic garden centre. Large variety of well kept plants, big restaurant, lovely gift shop and helpful friendly staff. I'd rather return to this one than another very well known garden centre in the North West of Leeds.

Great garden centre. Although they do offer novelty items to buy, and books etc it hasn't lost its identity as a garden centre. Lots of well looked after plants plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, and fruit and veg plants. Theres also lots of well priced planters and pots.

Nice cafe but very pricey. £3.65 for a hot chocolate is too much. Coffee prices are similar. Food is good quality though.
We take my 88 year old mum for a treat now and again but for 3 coffees and 3 cakes it is around £25. It really is a special treat at these prices.

Lovely garden centre with tons of parking, sadly the restaurant was overpriced with very poor food. No fish on Friday due to staffing apparently so only other option was cheese sandwich. The bread was extremely dry and the cheese was too hard to find. Let's just say we won't be back.
