It’s truly the meat supermarket of the north east of England as you’ll find all your meat needs in this place. The price is affordable and cheaper compared to other places. They truly deserve the 5 star rating. Excellent service delivery and quality staff. I’ll surely recommend.

Enjoy shopping here but the prices are getting a bit dear on some things.
They seem to have stopped selling the 2pk of Johannesburg half pound burgers and lambs liver, but the range of meat and other things are good.

I bought Saturday 3rd of November some chicken drumsticks along with other groceries, although the end date was until 5th of November when I opened them on the 4th Sunday this rotten meat smell punched me in the face, they been kept in the fridge overnight and the colour of the meet turn green, it was something horrible keep my door open for hours to get that rotten smell out the kitchen, please be careful what you by check every item thoroughly, I did notice big gaps in the hygiene but never though I might get rotten meat from that place, when I cut one drumsticks fighting with that unbearable smell and saw green flesh my stomach turn upside down, I believe their way of keeping the meat over night for sale is at the very bottom level of hygiene and temperature control, would definitely not buy again to get food poisoning for couple of quid cheaper, keep your eyes open when you buy in this place👌

Brought a frozen Turkey just before Christmas, at what I would say was a very reasonable price.
We have our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve so Turkey was cooked and served along side other joints, what I will say is the quality, taste and the amount of meat they came from the Turkey was just beyond what I was expecting. Definitely one of the most succulent turkeys I have tasted.

G. Bolam has an excellent selection of fresh seafood, various meat and poultry sausages (especially turkey), produce, and eggs. Of course their other items such as their baked items ( especially lemon loaf), fresh meats and poultry are also very high quality. On my shopping trips there,
I am never disappointed. Oh, and their staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great selection of meats, sadly when we visited there wasn’t as many beef steaks as we would have hoped but it was extremely busy so I imagine if you went earlier you’d be absolutely fine.

The brisket I bought was the nicest beef I’ve ever had and the Full Monty Cafe was great

I visited last week and then again today.
Wide range of fresh meat available.
Lovely delicatessen counter with cooked meats, sandwiches, cheeses, chutney, jams.
Bakery counter with a lovely selection of fresh cakes/pies available and bread fresh each day.
I bought rump steak last week and this week and it was absolutely beautiful, couldn't fault it.
I also bought top side of beef for slow cooker which was just as beautiful.
Prices are very very reasonable.
You can get all of your fresh produce there as there is a fruit/ vegetable section.
Fresh eggs available.
Also a fish counter.
Plenty of car parking available.
Restaurant also next door.
Well worth a visit for fresh produce and stocking up your freezer.
