We booked the whole fishery for the day, and it was awesome. There were so many ponds to choose from, and each one was great for fishing. We ended up catching loads of fish! The best part was having a BBQ and fire at the end, so we could cook and enjoy everything we caught. The owners were super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!

I was gifted a fly fishing lesson by my wife at Frensham Trout Fishery. We have fished before but never tried fly fishing. On arrival, we were greeted by Matt and Jeff who both made us feel very welcome with coffee and plenty of background info on the fishery. Matt hosted the lesson and was incredibly calm and knowledgeable throughout, providing us with the perfect environment to learn and implement the techniques of fly fishing. I have since visited on a half day ticket and enjoyed the scenery, atmosphere and the family feel that FTF has to offer. As a novice, Matt took the time to set me up and teach the basics of the set up and knot methods before sending me on my way. The lakes provide great space to work on the cast with ample seating to change fly’s without the pressure of moving on quickly. Overall the perfect introduction to fly fishing and I’m sure FTF will be seeing much more of me over the winter. Thanks guys.

A real gem of a fly fishing experience, lovely father and son business. Very reasonable prices for half day ticket or full day ticket, the variety of fish and the quality of them is exceptional, the fish give you a real strong fight, no matter the size. Can't recommend this place enough, it's very peaceful, constant sound of running water and birds, it's so tranquil. Couldn't hear any cars and maybe once in a while a plane, but hardly noticable.

Fantastic day out and can't wait to come again. Thanks to Jeff and Matt, they are very accommodating with ticket changes and any gear requirement.

Beautiful surroundings in the middle of the woods. We arrived to a warm welcome from the amazing Shirley who offered us a hot drink and we felt at home right away. She also said she would be doing bacon baguettes and there was a selection of homemade cakes on offer too. We met the very friendly Jeff and Matt and bought some flies which I then caught on. It was a tricky day but I caught one and my friend had 2. It's a reasonable cost and a very tranquil setting with 6 ponds to choose from and I'd highly recommend it. If Shirley is there then you're in for a treat! I had carrot cake 🍰😋

In short it really is the complete package. Spread over 6 ponds/lakes it has everything that a fly fisherman could want. Hard fighting fish (browns, rainbows, tigers and char), beautiful scenery and a welcoming environment.

I have visited Frensham a dozen or so times and every time I am excited to go back. The addition of Shirley and her breakfast baguettes as well as delicious homemade cakes, what’s not to love.

With everything that we as fly fishers are experiencing in the south with price hikes and closures, Matt is doing a fantastic job in building what I think is one of the best small still-water fisheries in the South.

Had a fantastic morning fly fishing at Frensham Trout Fishery with two mates. We arrived at 8 AM and had an amazing session, landing 11 fish between us before heading off at 1 PM. The fishery is really well run, with great facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. The bacon baguettes were top-notch and a perfect mid-morning treat. Overall, an excellent experience—well-stocked waters, great service, and a spot we’d definitely return to!

A wonderful fishery on the Surrey-Hampshire border. Impressed with the hosting! Offerings of teas and coffees and a nice place to sit and rest mid-session. Very easy to book, rock up and get casting. A lovely array of fish to be caught from a diverse range of pools. Fishes well seasonally. I will continue to visit when I can!
