I have been in Brighton - accompanying my kids who were leaning English - during the summer. I thought about making the most of my time and decided to develop my French language. I had started learning French a few years ago (on and off) until I reached a B level. I was lucky enough to find the website of Suzanne by chance, which I believe was a great chance. I then spent one full month sharpening my French language skills through face-to-face lessons. Suzanne managed to design the right curriculum after evaluating my level and she customized the proper learning content. The lessons were a mixture of ongoing grammar theory subjects followed by exercises to ensure my understanding of each topic. I also had regular homework that to be corrected and reviewed the following morning. This approach has helped me to a great extent to gauge my progress. Speaking and conversation were key in the some part of the classes. We also had the liberty to change the venue of the class, which made it more enjoyable. I also loved the weekly ‘evening’ social gathering with Suzanne along with 2-3 other adult students in the form of mini questions that would be answered in French by all attendees. Overall, it was a wonderful learning experience while I was enjoying my holiday in England 🙂

Suzanne is such a brilliant teacher who is always cheerfully prepared for our lessons. I always felt comfortable and at ease when practicing my French with her and she helped me become more confident with my speaking and grammar. I’ve improved massively with her help and I can’t recommend her more!

Suzanne is an excellent teacher and a lovely person. I've had a great experience learning French with her. It has been a perfect balance of conversation practise and grammar / technical learning. She makes me stay in French as much as possible during our lessons and when there is something I don't understand, I have learned to ask for clarification in French and she will explain it again using different words in Fench. We will then work through any parts of the language used that I haven't understood. We only fall back to English as a last resort if I'm really struggling to comprehend! Highly recommended.

I had an initial 10 lessons with Suzanne, meeting for a coffee for our first session to see how much I could remember from school and go back to the basics I had definitely forgotten! Suzanne is a great teacher, very easy to talk to and had a great understanding of what things would work best for me. The lessons were flexible and progressed naturally from topic to topic, covering basic as well as some more advanced grammar, French idioms, conversational skills and role play. If you're looking to learn French in a natural, interesting and genuinely fun way, then I couldn't recommend Suzanne highly enough!

I can thoroughly recommend Suzanne as a tutor. We had weekly Skype lessons over summer to help me get my rusty French up to speed for work. I contacted Suzanne because I was looking for something quite niche. I was getting married and my partner is french, I wanted to learn some phrases to use at the wedding with his family. I also wanted help translating some of my wedding vows. Suzanne was very prompt in her replies and was keen to help me out! I met my tutor, Julia, who visited me at home once a week for 5 weeks before the wedding. We went through some helpful phrases, we did some role play to practice, Julia also took it on herself to help me refresh some basic french skills which helped me to follow the replies of my conversation partner. Julia was very friendly, professional and a patient teacher. She was very encouraging and boosted my confidence during a stressful time trying to organise a wedding!! I would very much recommend the team and I was grateful that they could meet my, quite unusual, needs. Thank you Julia!!

Started lessons with Suzanne last may ( 2017) and I'm really enjoying my French now. I'm a very slow learner and she has been very patience with me and we go over things again and again so I'm more confident in my speaking. I have weekly lessons. Suzanne is French native from (alsace Lorraine region) and also speaks fluent German. I would highly recommend her as a French teacher.
