Attended a bee keeping experience which was given as a father's day gift. John was very informative during the talk and got hands on with the bees and some of the hives. I would definitely recommend this as an experience day. Even got to take a jar of honey home with us. Which im looking forward to using in some baking at some point.

We recently had the fantastic experience of beekeeping with Firscroft Bees, and I must say it was truly remarkable. John, our instructor, possessed a wealth of knowledge and his teaching techniques were top-notch. The hands-on learning approach made the entire experience even more engaging and enjoyable.
John's passion for beekeeping was evident in his enthusiastic and patient teaching style. He took the time to explain every aspect of beekeeping, from setting up the hive to maintaining it throughout the seasons. His expertise and attention to detail were truly impressive.
The hands-on learning aspect was wonderful. We were able to put our knowledge into practice right away, under John's guidance with great care not to harm any of the Bees (girls). This practical approach allowed us to gain a deep understanding of the intricacies of beekeeping and feel a sense of confidence in our abilities albeit at a very basic level.
Kate and Myself highly recommend Firscroft Bees for anyone interested in beekeeping or just to learn about bees and their importance to our everyday lives or even as a unique gift experience. The experience was not only educational but also incredibly enjoyable a real organic experience.
We were welcomed with tea, coffee and biscuits and given a jar of the delicious Honey that the bees have made.
Thanks to Isla for organising our wonderful day and Thanks to John's excellent teaching techniques and vast knowledge, we now feel equipped to embark on our own beekeeping journey with some help along the way.

Myself , my husband and daughter have just had a wonderful bee keeping experience. We were warmly greeted by John , who was incredibly knowledgable and passionate about beekeeping. We were fascinated listening to John talking about these amazing little creatures. After John had answered any questions we had, and had talked us through various pieces of equipment , we put on our bee keeping suits and went down to the hives. There John helped us to open the hives and look inside. As it was very late in the season, most of the honey had been harvested, but we were able to see al the eggs, and larvae developing, and how the bees looked after them.

The beekeeping experience far exceeded even our high expectations , and I cannot recommend it enough. We are so looking forwards to having some delicious Firscroft honey for our breakfast! We have even given some to our submariner son so that he has a real taste of home whilst he’s away!

My wife & I had a wonderful Beekeeping Experience @Firscroft Honey Bees!! We had a very enjoyable and educational time with John & Isla. Very professional, friendly and inspiring to say the least. It's one thing to read and watch documentaries about honey bees but a totally different experience right there among the buzzing bees! Thanks John & Isla for the wonderful time!

I came across this wonderful business when I was searching for local honey to help my hayfever allergy. The honey is delicious, is beautifully packaged and the customer service from Isla and John was superb. I was so impressed I ordered more honey and the lipbalm trio as birthday gifts for my friends in London. The feedback from them is a big thumbs up. 🙂 The daughter absolutely loves the lipbalm trio. Isla's communication and customer service was brilliant, even sending images to me of how the London parcel was packaged. So, to sum up, I'm a very happy customer! 🙂

I ordered honey from Firscroft to ferment some organic garlic in. I roughly chopped garlic cloves and submerged them in the honey, turning every 12 hours and releasing gas build up every day for 2 or 3 weeks then place it in a cool place. I tend to have some every day over winter to boost my immune system (wonderful stuff!) Last year I experimented using Firscroft honey as well as some honey that I'd purchased from a leading supermarket. The garlic didn't ferment properly in the supermarket honey and the honey didn't thin out as it should have done during fermentation. It was a clear indication that the supermarket honey was not pure and full of additives (muck!) and I had to throw it away. Always best to buy local, support small businesses and get a pure, safe product, especially with loose legislation around food labelling requirements. I shall be fermenting more garlic this year using Firscroft honey, very yummy and highly recommended!

I purchased the bee keeping experience as a gift for me and my partner. It turned out to be an amazing morning learning about the bees and absorbing Johns's wide knowledge and passion for bee keeping. The whole session was very informative and inspiring with a good balance between theory and practice. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. John was extremely attentive and patiently answered all my questions. Meeting the bees and learning about the hive was deeply moving and left me with a sense of wonder and awe for how incredible these little beings are. At the end I was gifted a jar of their delicious honey and some more information to read. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone as a precious gift to themselves and loved ones.
