Do this walk @ least twice a week. It's a beutifull walk, surrounded by fields... Very calming environment.
Go @ like 7/8 (am) & you'll find the field dotted with a herd of deer...i seen 8 once & its a sight to behold. Other wild life 2 marvel at is foxes & birds of prey.
I take my dog along, which is safe to do so.
Would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates country side/wildlife etc...the Faskine & surrounding areas are excellent for walking, exercising etc... As I mentioned especially early morning time.

Easy flat walk with a fairy trail at calderbank woods if you look at the tress you will see fairy doors to their magic Kingdom!!former working canal that is very pretty in the summer.Has a lot of history to it.

Beautiful and historic. Under threat from builders and council wanting to develop this much loved piece of greenbelt land that has served the community for generations since the industrial revolution. Historically the world's first steel barge The Vulcan used this waterway. Replica can be viewed at Summerlee Coatbridge

Always a pleasure to emerge ourselves in and around the confines of the Woodhall, Faskine & Palacecraig Estate...the pleasures, both physical & mental, will remain for years n years as long as the countryside is not ravaged by the threat of house building.
