Liked: Beautiful location on a working farm but so so peaceful. Views to die for and the perfect place to wind down and relax. Owners extremely welcoming and helpful. Facilities are basic but perfectly ok and were clean. Lovely to meet the ownersโ€™ daughter and her pony Candy as we were leaving. Shame the weather wasnโ€™t a bit better but it is November!

Liked: Beautiful location friendly and helpful hosts. Amazing views looking over this hills and valley.

We were staying in The Orchard so had a bit more privacy and dedicated space to our pitch, fully serviced water and power (10A supply).

Very clean facilities and indeed the whole site, although a working farm, this added to the ethos and didnโ€™t disturb us.

Site entrance was very secure with plenty of space to pull off the road when we first got there, buzzed down to our hosts and they opened the gate to let us in, meeting us at the bottom of the drive to give us details of the site, history and fob to come and go as we pleased.

Lovely small site for caravans and motorhomes near Rudyard Lake. Lovely views and very quiet, site owners welcoming and happy to share lots of interesting information. Fully serviced pitches. Toilet & shower on site. Horses, sheep & hens on the farm. Dog friendly. 45min walk to Rudyard Lake & Rushton Spencer, which has 2 good pubs.

You drive down a beautiful tree lined drive to this site which overlooks fields and open countryside, on arrival we received a very warm welcome from Diane the owner, her children and their dogs. The real added bonus of lovely very clean facilities, a toilet and a shower . Thank you for a great stay. Kay and Paul.

Lovely welcome to the site on a working farm. Steep roads to the site so cycling easy to the lake but tough coming back. Need a car for sightseeing.
One toilet and shower available for the campsite. Bin & sanitary bin in toilet overflowing on arrival and never emptied during our stay. Septic tank on site so nothing to go down loo except toilet paper. However, no paper provided so take your own. Paper hand towels provided but couldn't be flushed & bin full. Shower full of grass so no maintenance or cleaning had been done for several days. I tried to wash it away & put some toilet cleaner in bowl. Post-it note clearly expected campers to do a spot of cleaning. I didn't want to be emptying all the sanitary bins though. A bit awkward. Nobody around to inform about it. Shame as everything else great, lovely site with water & electric good waste bins ,& recycling provided. Sometimes it's those little things that can be irritating.
