A lovely little restaurant in Essex. Visited for a quick sea food treat, and we were not disappointed. We reserved a table using quandoo online, and it was quick and easy to book. On arrival, we were shown to our table and immediately given the menus. Drinks arrived promptly, and food came shortly after. The food was nice. I had the sea food boil, and I was not disappointed. Would have loved to have a bit of tiger prawns in it, though, but it was still lovely. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff and guests were very friendly and chatty
All in all, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area

The website says
“At No10 Restaurant, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse menu”.
Not on the Sunday we were there. On arrival we were told that there was a limited menu as the main chef was not working that day.
We had specifically booked as I wanted to have the halibut but had to settle for the grilled skate.
And a lamb roast
For desert we had pavlova and Bakewell tart
The food was ok, but the atmosphere was lacking. It’s difficult to a create an atmosphere in a such a small restaurant.
I did feel sorry for the waiter who had to tell the group of 8 that there was only 1 beef roast and 2 chicken roast meals left. Someone went without!
Don’t know if I would book again? I would definitely phone in advance to make sure they were offering the full menu which is what I expected.

Had a meal here a few weeks ago, absolutely delicious. Staff very friendly. We had oysters followed by the seafood broil with scallops & crab claws, luckily we were advised that the meal for one is plenty for two people.

The food was the best I have either had in a restaurant. The service was very friendly. I have been to alot of restaurants in my time I.e. the vines ,smiths to name just two .The vines the meal was to salty ,Smiths we were told to leave the table as soon as we had finished our meal, but none of this happened at the Essex oster.

Upgraded seafood and garlic bread are getting better than previous ones, to be honest, the previous ones were pretty great already, it’s a surprisingly experience again for us. I strongly recommend this best restaurant

Sadly our first experience here was not good . Food was overcooked and over priced . Drinks were tiny and expensive. The lovely man serving was the best part .
