Came over to try breakfast. A little more rustic than some other venues. Plenty of parking. We got here quite early so managed to get a seat straight away. Staff were helpful. Good clear choices for Vegans and Vegetarians. Breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced. Good cake selection too.

Best butchers around by a mile, staff always helpful and polite.

I cook a lot of bbq and all the butchers are prepared to listen to any requests I put in, even if I’m asking for American cuts etc.

You get a personal service you can’t get in a supermarket.

Most importantly the meat is top quality.

I can’t recommend highly enough

Unfortunately generally very little fresh farm produce, but a large amount of mass produced cakes etc, cleverly marketed as local goods...when they are not at all local. Brands like "Farm house" made to look locally made, but really made in huge factories and is just processed ingredients, zero nutrition. I hope this isn't a trend for farm shops...

Ordered 2 meals. Fish and chips over cooked or dirty oil fish was a small portion and loads of fries the peas in a pot with lots of excess water. Other meal cottage pie dish size was okay but that's was all that was positive the mince beef flavourless and very small little scrap of carrot maybe 3 mini dices topped with mash which did have a good texture. Would not recommend value for money very poor. We did have 2 latte coffee which were lovely other than that don't bother.

Bought pork mince Friday afternoon, fridged immediately.
Gone rancid by Sunday evening.

Less than 2 days shelf life.
Very disappointed.

Have been to the cafe in this farm shop many times before but today we arrived at 3.05pm & went to the counter, the girl totally ignored us for 5 minutes then turned round & said "we've stopped serving food" & turned her back to us. We eventually managed to speak to her again & asked if coffee & cake was still available & she said yes. The farm shop is open until 5pm & we could see no notices saying the care hours were any different. The next people to come in after us were turned away without even being offered coffee. Unfortunately we won't be going back again. Don't really know why times have gone so downhill with staff verging on rude
