Loved staying here with a group of 12 of us. We're coming back next year! Cosy and perfect place to walk and explore Dartmoor from.

Stayed here once with Devon young carers in February 2023. Loved every bit of it, definitely coming back some time in the future. Made some amazing friends here who I still talk to,

It is in Dartmoor as well, not too far from postbridge, so that's probably one of the reasons I loved it so much.

Stayed there in February, had a great time. Made new friends, definitely going there again in the future. David is there best, he made it very fun. Sadly Markus won't be there next time I go.

First and foremost can we say a huge thank you to David who made us feel so welcomed on our arrival to the Farm!

He helped us to create family memories which will last a lifetime.

From feeding the animals, herding the sheep to mucking out the pigs. His knowledge was outstanding and he got everyone involved.

David is a real asset to the farm and created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and he was incredible at ensuring all the children were engaged, involved, and comfortable.

Secondly thank you to Julia who gave us great local information about where was good to visit for day trips! We thoroughly enjoyed Totnes and the quirky shops there.

The accommodation was very practical whilst remaining surprisingly homely. The kitchen is well equipped, a lovely large dining area for all the family, and very well thought out bedrooms with personal bathrooms too!

The kids (aged from as young as 5>10) didn't once complain about the lack of a Television as there was so much fun to be had elsewhere.

It really was a wonderful Holiday!

Side notes for potential visitors to the area, which are not at all specific to the Farm:

Driving on the moors is an experience in itself, there are LOTS of steep hills and narrow country lanes - So ensure you are confident with this before you look to visit this way.

The area is very remote, ensure that you bring what you will need to make your stay comfortable - its not easy to "pop to the shops" so be well prepared.

Thanks again to all at Shallowford Farm - I am sure we will be back!
