Definitely the best butchers for miles! We shop here regularly for meat offcuts for the dog as well as our meat. The staff are the best, always so welcoming, friendly and helpful! The prices are better than supermarkets for what you get and how much of it too! Honestly cannot fault them and, as I said, best butchers for miles!

Best butchers in the area by far! The guys are super helpful at the duck and blade and everything is reasonably priced. Perfect for a weekly shop as well as a prize piece for a special occasion. I done use the supermarkets anymore as you can really taste the difference!!

Been using the Duck and Blade for a few months now (I haven’t bought supermarket meat for at least a decade) and I am really happy with the service, quality of food, pricing and cleanliness of the butchers. They even have decent music on the stereo sometimes! Their location is also fantastic, Standard Quay is lovely and well worth checking out. Top marks all round and I would highly recommend.

Wasn't aware the butchers here had changed hands, but very impressed with the range of meats on offer and the friendly knowledgeable service. We bought some great products which were very high quality. The maple chicken skewers were amazing! We'll definitely be back to support this fantastic local business.

Fantastic meat, great team and nice prices.

The Goose and Spoon is definitely the butcher's to be going to if you want quality and also dont need to remortgage your house.
Archies breasts are succulent, the thighs are amazing and dont get me started on the meat he sells!

I hadn't even realised the unit had changed hands but it's good to see it's still being run as a butcher. Some really good deals inside, good quality meat at very reasonable prices. Usual cuts as well as some pre seasoned packs for the barbecue or grill. Some specialty items such as mozzarella stuffed burgers and chicken breasts. Worth a visit if you're passing by.
