Driving around aimlessly on lovely Sunday lunchtime, looking for somewhere different, somewhere we haven’t been before.
Well a quick google suggested Drewton’s Farm Shop as we were nearby.
Well… we sure were not disappointed, in fact we were blown away with just how big the place is, didn’t realise it is an estate!
The place can cater for probably all occasions. Tea rooms, restaurants, corporate, weddings, amazing form shop that just about has everything & the quality is amazing. Spent a few quid in that shop!
In the end we settled for a nice fresh coffee & a slice of caramel cake…
I’m sure I’ve only scratched the surface of what Drewton’s has to offer.
Ho… and all the staff were very welcoming & polite.
If you’re around the York/Hull or nearby, a visit is a must.
I think for food it may be worth booking as it was quite busy.
If not you can always grab a coffee & a side dish of pastry.

Absolutely excellent food and drink, first class quality. Great staff and service, all friendly and helpful.
The choice of dishes on the menu far exceeded expectations. Will return when passing.
The shop also has some excellent goods for sale

Called for lunch and had the fish platter, was fabulous, so well presented, fresh and delicious. Followed by a piece of cake and a cuppa, such a lovely relaxing lunch. The staff were most helpful and very friendly. It’s always wise to book, there is some building work going but this didn’t detract from the experience and service.

Not usually one to say anything but we were really disappointed in the service today. We have been previously for lunch and everything has been lovely, but today we waited an hour for a roast beef that was thick, overcooked and chewy with two roast potatoes, a stem of broccoli and a shrivelled up Yorkshire pudding. To then see a table on our way out with a huge plate of two fluffy Yorkshires each, loads of potatoes and veg and lovely cut pink beef was very disappointing. We thought we had hit unlucky with it being a busy service, but obviously not when other tables were getting much nicer meals for the same price.

We are quite disappointed, as living locally we like to visit for lunch, but this has really put us off returning.

Afternoon Tea voucher received as a present. Booking system was good. However, on the day of the visit was not very impressed. Once seated sat for quite a while waiting for someone to ask us what we wanted to drink. Savouries we're good but the scones were very small and heavy, with a piece of batten burg and three very small quite sickly cakes/tarts so didn't feel very good value for money. Small cup of coffee provided but was unclear if had to pay for an extra cup. Nobody asked for voucher so mistakenly brought it back with me. So have been chased up by phone and asked to drop it in sometime. Told the caller I was disappointed with the afternoon tea and wouldn't be coming back but didn't even bother to ask why I was disappointed, hence this review.

Visited Drewton’s Farm Shop for breakfast yesterday at 10:30 with a pre-booked table for four. The idyllic setting and exceptional menu were overshadowed by service challenges. Cramped tables in the farm shop side prompted a move, but staff didn’t assist, and we carried our drinks across busy tables. Waiting over 30 minutes for coffee and further delays in food, coupled with chaotic and unavailable staff, made the experience less enjoyable. Complaints were needed for secondary drinks, and obtaining the bill was a challenge. Service issues significantly marred an otherwise promising visit.
