My absolute favourite nursery. I have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. It's a proper nursery, focusing on the plants rather than cafes and christmas decorations. There is a huge variety of plants also. My dad wanted a very specific tree for his birthday and this was the only place that had it in stock. At a reasonable price too. Would recommend time and time again.

Visited this place and was surprised at the lack of interest in us as customers. We passed a good number of staff working in the greenhouses and only one acknowledged our presence with a good morning. We spent over £50 on plants and person taking the money didn’t even say please when totalling up the amount. Overall a disappointing experience which won’t be repeated.

This has to be one of the best nurseries I’ve ever visited. A huge range of amazing quality plants offered in multiple sizes. I found plants here that grew in my childhood garden that I hadn’t seen anywhere else in some of the more generic garden centres (that tend to stick the same plants season in season out) I really loved this place and will be heading back here with as much boot space as possible next time I visit Bath - wonderful ❤️

It's like a hidden gem. Many healthy plants, and free-range eggs from chickens you can see are in good condition. Competitive prices too.

I had the most pleasant first visit to Downside Nurseries yesterday afternoon!
A lovely man helped me pick out a selection of plants to my requirements. I left with lots of new found knowledge on gardening and will absolutely be returning for more blooms and tips!
I'm looking forward to seeing how they grow.
A very happy customer!

Downside is my nursery of choice! I could easily spend the day there. The plant choice is fantastic and a friendly welcome and plenty of advice are always given. One of the few suppliers of the fabulous Errington Reay pots, so well worth a visit.
