Doreen’s had been recommended by a friend.
I dragged myself out of bed this morning (to beat the Christmas rush) praying that it would (and should) be good because I love my sleep!
The sweet, rich rum smell, soft bouncy (yet dense) feel of the cake led me to sneak a slice - actually three - as soon as I got home (whilst still wearing my coats and boots).
All I can is I am in no way disappointed, not at all.
It’s magnificent. Rich, warm flavours and the most moist, textured cake. Wow !!!!
If you haven’t been you need to and if you have I’m sure you’ve never been anywhere else again to get your rum cake. Well worth the drive this morning.

I’m contemplating bringing this out for Christmas - I don’t think I can share it !

Great service also - prompt response to my text and subsequent call when trying to locate them at Greenwich market.

Going to have just one more slice with a cup of tea, lol!

Definitely recommend and I will be going back!!!

I contacted them on their last day before it was closing to see if I could get rum cake. Spoke to a nice lady on the phone and told me they were still open. A few hours later I got a call from them asking if I still wanted the cake and the nice lady put two cakes aside for me! I was so grateful for her to do that for me and the cakes were 10/10!!!

Wow this rum cake lived up to my expectations and beyond!
Honestly the best Rum cake there is in London!! It’s so moist and goes so well warmed up with some ice cream.

Doreen’s Homemade Rum Cakes did their best to ensure we had a cake for Dad's birthday at very short notice. I ordered a cake online on a Tuesday evening and was reassured it would be ready for collection on Saturday, and it was!! The cake was exactly what I was looking for and we all loved it! I’ve been searching for a rum cake that tasted like my aunt used to make for a long time and I have to say that Doreen’s cake understood the assignment and delivered! I've tried many others and none came close, Doreen’s was perfect.

Everything was on point from this small business from their attentive service to the taste and quality of the cake. I was not disappointed! A massive thank you to Jackie (who even helped me find Greenwich Market) and to Natalie for patiently waiting for me and for suggesting we ‘warm the cake up’ to get the full rum experience! Absolutely gorgeous rum cake and even lovelier people! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic rum cakes and stem ginger brownies. On top, Doreen and her family are super lovely!
Tried them first time on the city splash festival and loved them so much, we looked up where to find them and came by last weekend to get some more. They come packed in a sealed packaging so ideal to take away and have later.
On the festival they also had cherry and chocolate muffins which were also super delicious.
We will definitely be back!

I bought one of your little rum cakes today and tried it when I got home. It was absolutely fantastic! It had this smooth taste and flavour and though I know rum is in it, it wasn't overpowering. Your cake tasted so good, I had to look you up on Google to leave a review, however, I could not remember the name of your stall but I Googled rum cake Greenwich market and you came up! Looking forward to trying it again! Superb!!

Delicious!! We discovered them at CitySplash festival this year and they were our life savers!!! We had the idea to buy some cakes from them earlier in the day, when there were no queues. As the cakes are vacuum packed, they were perfect to purchase to eat later... and that's exactly what we did when everyone else was queueing for hours for some food!! We then visited them in their Greenwich Market stall and got some more cakes. We wanted to check them out properly. The cakes were just as delicious and moist. They lasted us two days from the opening (that's because we could not resist finishing the cakes!)!. We had lovely service on both occasions! We will be going back for more, for sure and I hope they will be back at the festival next year!!
