Had a lovely meal here with my girlfriend-highly recommend the fish and chips, they were especially tasty! The restaurant was spotless and the staff were really friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Milngavie!

Good garden centre, but desperate for the cafe to improve as I’d use it a lot more. The cafe is very understaffed, and I’ve had enough so will be cancelling my dobbies membership as the free coffees are not worth it. Often there is only one person taking orders and making coffees and the queue can be 10+ people. Lunch service is even worse, you get shown to a table but have to wait forever to have an order taken and then again for food. I think we waited an hour for a simple order of soups and sandwiches. Such a shame as I’m in the garden centre a fair bit and would use the cafe a lot more.

Great venue in the rolling countryside. Great range of plants and equipment, as well as garden furniture. There's even a substantial restaurant and a wee Waitrose! A very nice place to spend some time...and usually a fair bit of money as well 😉

Went for lunch yesterday. Was greated and shown a table pleasant and efficient manner, being told waitress would take our order. Then we waited, and waited. Staff were clearing tables and serving around but we were apparently invisible. Asked people at the next table how long they had waited and 20-25 minutes was the answer. Right enough about twenty minutes it took before we were attended by a disinterested member of staff. Fair enough the food came quite quickly after.
The feeling of being of no consequence to the waiting staff left us with a bad experience and I shall not be recommending it to others.

Robbie’s have a new ordering system. On 4th March we had to wait to order at a table with menus. We had catch the eye of an assistant with iPad to order. We waited for our sandwich. When it arrived there was no coffee with it. We had eaten half a sandwich when I caught the eye of the assistant to ask where are our coffees. When we finished we had to go to another assistant to pay. We could have very easily have walked out without paying. Please have a rethink about your new system. Keep the customer happy not the other way round.

Lovely garden centre. But so much more. There is a large restaurant that serves a wide range of food, think of it like a Service Station restaurant and you get the idea. There is a supermarket if you need to buy your groceries with a selection of local produce. Pretty much anything you want along with a tremendous selection of plants, plant pots etc. and even a play area for Children

I want to preface this with the fact that this is based on the service we received in the cafeteria, and not the centre ad a whole, which was much more welcoming.

The waitress who seated us was lovely, and we were greeted in a friendly manner. Also, the baby changing facilities were clean, bright, and clear.

Sadly, we were overlooked when it came to ordering any food. We sat patiently for 15 or more minutes to have our order taken. Tables being seated after us were having their orders taken right by our table.

I attempted making eye contact with the wait staff, eventually holding up a menu and smiling at one of the waitresses. She looked me dead in the eye as I tried to flag her down, broke off, and walked straight into the staff room. But hey, maybe she was currently doing something, so I thought she'd come out, do finish up, then come over. She exited the room, very obviously checked if I was still looking in her peripheral vision, and went on with other things.

The other waitbstaff didn't even look at me when I tried to get their attention.

Maybe we didn't look middle class enough (I'm being facetious).

We ended up leaving without having placed an order. Yeah, it was busy, but tables right by us were getting food. So I don't know what was up.

Visited the Santa’s Grotto with our 9 week old baby today! She is obviously too young to understand but we wanted the memories and photos! It was great, well organised, loads of different photo opportunities and lovely staff! Elf on the front door, Margaret I believe (hope I’ve got the name right) was lovely and exactly the kind of spirit, kindness and enthusiasm you hope for from an elf 😂 The staff definitely make it for families and wee ones! Will definitely visit next year! Merry Christmas!
