Overall We do like it here. But it really does depend on what member of staff you engage with to feel an appreciated customer. Not sure all of the staff in the coffee shop or restaurant love their jobs ? Have used both and weren't overly impressed with our meals for our first trip to the restaurant. We will give it a 2nd chance. It was as ever busy so maybe it was just an off day. Boston sausage and the waitrose concession are good. Needs some improvements

Where do I start!! We visited the cafe and was asked if we was there for breakfast? We said yes and sat down, the take tour order at the table. After 15 minutes we asked if someone could take our order? A young man came & took it & payment, 5 minutes later he was back saying he did it wrong & we hadn't paid?! So I pay again and then wait 40 minutes! Other people are now being refunded as they have waited so long! A couple who came in after us are served the same order we had ordered!! So after an hour ours arrived and we asked why are others getting served before us 'it's just the way it is' & a shrug of the shoulders from the youth! We ask for the manager and tell her what has happened, she apologises and offers a full refund, which we accepted.
As for what we got for £8-50 price! 1 x bacon 1x sausage 1 x egg 1/2 x tomato & beans. 1 small toast (we asked for another to replace the black pudding we didn't want but that never arrived?)!
If I am honest even with it being free as we had a refund it was stillborn value for money!!
At least 6 other people had refunds and numerous people walked out as they had waited & no one came to take an order!!
We will normally be going back.

We were informed that there was a 30 minute wait for food as we entered, no problem had a coffee while waiting, the food though was terrible, tinned carrots were rock hard(can't believe that they don't serve fresh carrots after all this is Lincolnshire) the cabbage was cooked to death, as was the mash potatoes only saving grace was the sausages.
To top it all the sponge cake was like sawdust!!!
It's definitely gone down hill won't be going back.

Service was very slow. The girl serving needed things explaining to her several times. Have 3 OAPs in a group of 5, so they get a free cake with the meal. While waiting for our mains, they brought out the cakes, so the cakes had to sit on the table in the boiling hot conservatory while we ate our mains. Food was OK, it wasn't the best quality, just tasted like a frozen ready meal with some salad on the side.

It's ok some good plants etc, would like to see less knick knacks more garden centre products, eg bbq's at realistic prices.
The restaurant is very good and every time we have been service has been great the lady's work hard and look after you even if just popping in for coffee.

Used the coffee shop which was a disappointment. All we wanted was a sandwich which weren't displayed. When the sandwich arrived it was a plain sandwich on a plate, 3 slices of cheese and pickle..... For the price I would expect real grated cheese...tables not cleaned at all while we where there. On leaving found, they also had a restaurant round the corner which appeared more inviting. Not sure the point of a coffee shop and restaurant in the same place 🤔 very disappointed.

Took my friend here today to get plants for her garden. Good selection of plants . We had a drink and snack ,expensive for what it was.
The staff were really nice one man got me a trolly to put plants and compost in and the young man on the check out was so nice, he was really sweet, helpful and friendly and even wheeled the trolly to the car and loaded our purchases.
Special thank you to check out man.
