Liked: Great campsite with fantastic woods. Just a few pitches for a very large area garantee a sense of quite, silence and relaxation in nature. There is a good degree of walking to reach facilities and water but it all fits very well together. The cafe and shop on site are excellent compliment to the landsxape. Excellent menu and deliciou meat. Well done!

We love Dernwood Farm camping and have been many times. We love the walk in using the trolleys and see it part of the holiday. It’s humbling to have to carry our stuff to the field, which results in team work and physical effort. And when everything is set up, we get to just sit in a field and observe nature. What’s not to like!

The facilities are very clean and tidy and available food and shop items are very welcome and very good quality. Not to mention the lovely friendly staff 🥰

We met and made new friends camping at Dernwood Farm several years ago and it has a special place in our hearts. We try to meet here annually.

The woods are great for exploring and we love the fact that cars are not allowed which means the kids can run around and be carefree, and we do not need to worry about their safety in this respect. This is such a bonus.

Liked: We stayed at Dernwood Farm Wild Camping with our family, and it was one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had! The place is truly special — set in a beautiful, wild woodland, far from noise and civilization. It’s perfect for anyone looking for peace, nature, and a true wild camping experience.

The facilities are excellent considering how natural the setting is — clean toilets, showers, the option to have a campfire, wood available on site.
The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful. Our children loved it, especially having the freedom to explore the forest.

A big bonus was the lovely on-site shop and coffee bar — a cosy spot with great coffee, local produce, and friendly atmosphere. It really added to the whole experience and made mornings even better!

We will definitely be back! Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic nature adventure.

Camped for the first time here and found it to be fantastic. Very pretty site, spacious pitches, very dog friendly, we had a great time. The children found lots of rope swings in the woods. Nice walk to a lovely pub. Would definitely recommend this campsite, very pleased to have found it. To

What a find!!!! Gorgeous countryside, incredible hosts, a very warm and friendly welcome and brilliant service from Amanda, Emily and Tim. The woodland is wonderful and yes, there is a 5 min trek to the wild camping field but its a small price to pay for NO CARS anywhere near the camping and huts. This means a very tranquil and serene atmosphere occasionally interrupted by bird song! The site is managed so well with only a maximum of 30 tents per night, giving everyone a lot of space. If anyone is up for a stunning walk, take the 45 min stroll to the Six Bells pub in Chiddlngly, stunning views, great food and, of course, Harveys Sussex Best Bitter! Definitely one of our top sites EVER and we've been camping for over 30 years. I LOVED this campsite. Everything is perfect if you want a peaceful & simple camping experience a short distance from London.
The field is huge and you can pitch wherever you like. Loads of space. The walk from the car park through the woods (with plenty of trolleys) is fun, especially for children. And I really appreciated the fact there are no cars among the tents. They offer fire pits, there’s a sweet cafe / shop, the showers (via the woodland walk) were great. There are toilets at the bottom of the field itself. And if you time it right, there are extensive blackberry bushes (bring some big plastic food boxes). The night sky was fantastic. And it’s a short trip to the coast. We swam at Pevensey Bay (not crowded on a hot day in the summer holidays). We will definitely return. Thank you!

Liked: This car free campsite is in a stunningly beautiful setting, surrounded by bluebell woods. There is so much space you are completely undisturbed even when it's 'busy'.
The toilets are in a proper building which is lovely, no portaloo/rickety hut, and toilet paper and hand towels are supplied. There's even a washing up area which so handy.
The wonderful hot showers are back at the car park but the walk to them feels like being in a Disney movie so it's not a chore at all.
The welcome is warm and kind, as are the fires you're permitted to have.
There's just enough phone signal to stay in touch in case of emergency, which is perfect!
We had a wonderful time, we will be back.

We keep coming back here as it has everything - a great shop where the kids can go and choose what to have for dinner or a snack, great brunch coffee and bread. There are decent toilet facilities on the field and a proper shower block near the shop. There is a walk to the field, which is really pretty and trollies are provided (it's great exercise!) The ice cream van is some of the best we've had. As the camping spots on the field are not allocated, you can choose where to camp and we've stayed a little longer to dry out the tent and put away once instead of rushing for the checkout time. The ancient woodlands are beautiful to explore and have loads of bluebells early in the season. Top tip: stock up on meat for home. We'll definitely be back again.
