Decent local pub, would definitely recommend. The beers are good & plenty of variety.

Massive outdoor beer garden for summer says & decent enough inside.

Pool table only 2 games for a £, which is good!

The food is really good too, although I'm a man child so only ordered a children's fish finger happy meal (didn't come with a toy unfortunately 😂)

Walked over from Lyme park, big party with three large dogs in tow. Lovely pub, great service and plenty of room for us all. The food was delicious, several of us got the crispy salt and pepper chicken which was great. So glad we stopped here.

Lovely Robinsons pub on the very busy A6. Visited once 40 years ago on a country pub crawl. Open plan with a separated pool room. ( Not played in years but 60p a game or £1 for 2 seems pretty good. Food looked good, esp home made pies but seems slightly pricey to me. Biggest let down was only one real ale on during my visit. Pint of Unicorn..very nice. Beer garden to front on very busy A6.

From the outside it looks a lot bigger, then inside it's small, and given its so small you'd expect some atmosphere...
Felt like I'd fallen into a time warp, there was a guy at the bar in a waist coat and dickie bow for no apparent reason.

The barmaid had the personality of a rock, but less talkative, couldn't have been less interested if she tried.
The Guinness was overflowing and badly poured.

We came as a family of four and had an excellent Sunday lunch. We had starters, mains and dessert which were all lovely - I had the roast pork with all the trimmings which was superb and the pie looked really nice as well. The service was attentive and friendly. We don’t live locally but if we are in the area again, we’ll definitely come back.

Stopped off for a drink before catching the bus (stop right outside pub) the outside seating is fantastic, and although you are on the main a6 it doesn't impede on your visit. Not been to the dandy for 20 odd years, but we will definitely go back when we are on our next girls' day out
